Yeah u got it in one.

Would use the term sanctuary in the loosest possible sense to describe that place. Surprised they didn't have any pups of their own to sell you.

Bearpup, those puppies do look a lot like mine! Hmm... not sure what to think now.
Maybe I should just wait and see. In a couple of weeks her hair may grow longer.

    Hi HenriettaR,

Will PM you link to the rest of the pix :)

Aw, she's so cute. Again though, while the colouring's the same, her hair is already much longer than my dog's. Hopefully I'll gain that way in easy grooming!

My pup is a Yorkshire/Jack Russell mix. He had short hair when I got him and now its quite shaggy. His colour on his face changed and his ears stuck up. I'll attach a pic of when I got him first, when he was a bit older and a now. The more recent one isn't good quality as it was taken on my phone but you can see his face anyway has gone from being darker to quite blonde.

Dont worry if your pup has Jack Russell in the mix. My fella is gorgeous and yeah he's lively but I wouldn't swop him for the world. I think the Jack Russell makes him less of a premadonna. Plus I cant stress enough to socialise your pup. Introduce him to everyone and everything. :D

It's unbelievable that people are still falling for this stuff from "breeders".

Does nobody do any research any more on who they are buying dogs from?

I have minded a lot of new dogs this summer that the owners have told me are "cavachons" or ****zu/cavaliers or maltese or westie etc and it is plain to see the dogs are nothing like the breed they have been told.

All very loved and very cute and the owners are none the wiser, and would probably pay for them anyway.

To the original poster....just enjoy your dog regardless of what it is/was/is supposed to be/looks like! It will love you unconditionally anyway!

By the sound of things here the heart rules the head...

Once the puppy is seen and they are so cute the heart takes over and the logical thinking of 'is this dog really what I am looking for' 'is this dog reared in good conditions' gets lost..

    I must admit though I am a softie myself:o

That lady was seriously pushing it though when she asked for €335 for a cross bred dog

PLEEZ BUYERS PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING AND WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM!!!

Anyone who looks on donedeal.ie is likely to be scammed. Good breeders don't have to advertise- their pups are spoken for even before they're born.
I know this may sound harsh, but I have no sympathy for anyone who buys a 'purebred' and doesn't come home with the real deal. If you can be taken in by this sort of thing it means you haven't done your homework on researching a reputable breeder.
Having said that, sounds like the OP is enjoying the new pup which is the main reason to get a dog anyway.

    hi

you should report this! cannot believe that this person knowingly sold a dog as a pedigree and it turns out to be a mongrel (no offense intended). please report this as this is probably a puppy farm and should be checked out. it is theft really.

    Hi there OP,

very sorry to hear about what happened, but you know what? Never mind... Its a sucky situation, definitely, but obviously it seems like nothing can be done now, by the sounds of it, this breeder just wanted to make money and didn't care about the welfare of the dog.. Sure you got her a little early, but by the sounds of this "breeder", she was nearly better off coming to you! Forget the money, forget the breed... Just realise that you have a gorgeous little puppy, that if cared for and loved, will show you unconditional love to you for the rest of her life, and loves you no matter what.. Very few people we can say that for!! All you need to do is make sure she gets a good start, is seen regularly by the vet, and it will be fine. At least you will know for future, should you ever decide to get another puppy. That "breeder" will get no luck... you should be excited, you are about to embark on a puppy adventure, which is so much fun (though sometimes you'll want to tear you hair out from exhaustion, I just got a 10 week old Westie myself!! :) )

She definitely looks to have JRT in the mix, and I wouldn't worry about it too much anyway, JRTs are great little dogs, very smart.. no matter what she'll have loads of energy anyway as all terriers seem to have boundless energy, and then reserve tanks just in case, as Ive seen with my pup!!

    Good luck, and enjoy!
