This is apparently a new Remington 700 Barrel v's a new Lilja Barrel!

    Some bloody difference

Different ball game altogether. Would be interesting to see what a typical barrel from what's sold as a competition grade rifle would be like from the factory, be it an Anschutz, Walther, Feinwerkbau, Grunig and Elmiger or Tanner. Bleiker obviously use the Lilja barrels, so that's a known quantity.

So does this mean that when you buy a Reminton not only do you have to change the Stock and Trigger but also the barrel to shoot well. :D:D:D

I would suspect that most factory barrels are like the Remington in that video. I'd like to see how factory match barrels compare though.

that pretty much summarises the situation, clivej!!!!:rolleyes::D The phrase "out the box accuracy" doesn't spring too quickly to mind!:D:D:D:D:p

Although, to be fair to Remmy700, Mr. Intershoot is not exactly comparing apples and apples there now, is he?!

dont know what your talking about DC! :p

I just thought it was an interesting comparrison, and to be honest I was very surprised by how much deformation was in the 700 barrel - I know its not a match barrel (as the Lilja obviously is) but to have that sort of finish!!

Can you imagine what people go through - knocking their brains out trying to get ammo etc sorted out to try and shoot decent groups, when they are working with something of that level - I mean they certainly arn't cheap - and you would expect to get something a little better....No??

    Maybe it just me

I would love to see a video like this comparing a few different rifles.

Lets say a comparison between Remington 700, Cz 550 , Tikka T3 , Sako 75 and more. All in .308 for arguements sake, I wonder what the differences would be?!

    Also a comparison between a Tikka T3 lite and a T3 tac!
