What is the cost involved in getting a car converted to matt? Love the look of them. Particularily this......http://culturegarage.com/article/matte_black_vinyl_wrapped_b7_rs4_avant_let_me_show_you_it/

On A5 owners club, some people got the cars wrapped in uk for that effect. I dont like it.
    Mine is nicer!

I don't really like the matt look. Prefer the metallic look and don't see the appeal of a shine free cover at all.

Matt paint (or wrap) is sh!t cool ..until that point when you have some dirt/fingerprints/stains/scratches on it and try to clean it :D

    Trust me ...I know

Is it painted or wrapped Chris?

Has to be wrapped, to repaint a brand new car would be just crazy. Especially matt-black.

I sometimes like matt wraps, but don't think it suits the A5 at all.

It's all plain sailing, untill (like someone already said), you get a little scratch in it or a piece of tar sticks to it...

agreed, this one already appears to have a big stain on the bonnet?

Can't quite put my finger on why, but it looks kinda cheap to me (which I'm sure it's not!!). Maybe it's that it kinda looks like a kit.

Can it be wrapped in any colour or is Stealth Fighter Black the new trend?

It can, IIRC a guy on vagdrivers has an S3 wrapped in white -> car is blue form factory ... Im guessing Tax/ log book details must be updated ?? even if it is only temporary ?

Looks way better in Silver, and I hate silver :pac:

Matt effect comes across looking cheap generally

I don't like it at all. It looks like a mobile blackboard. Then again, white cars took a while for me to like.

997 (originally navy blue) before and after wrap. Matt vinyl can be laminated with a matt laminate before fitting to vehicle. This avoids
a lot of aforementioned problems with handprints, dirt etc.

There are so many matt black cars here in London, from Range Rovers, Ferrari's, Porsche and yesterday I saw Geri Haliwell's matt black Lambo with horrible yellow interior.

I think it looks much better in the wrap, which imo shows the curves much better. This looks like a satin black not matte black wrap tho.

Matt paint looks like an unfinished project to me. I'm not a fan at all. Give me a shiny car every time :)
