Ive tried processing the 'iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.IPSW' firmware with redso0w and it will NOT recoginze it for me.....

3G 8GB model, the 3GS did not come in 8gb did it?

Any idea where I could download a IPSW file that will work or will I restore the iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore file to my iphone?

yeah ya can get a 8gb 3gs but only since july last year

I'm fairly sure as it has the faded writing on the back of it, I think that was specified as a difference between the models?

OK, I've changed the firmware again to 'iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore' & tried to use redsn0w with again no luck

Must be something simple I am not doing, if it works for ye and not for me like? Do I have to have the iphone connected/disconnected or maybe I must reboot the iphone first or something?

There is no reason this should not be working like??

Can't hurt I suppose, sure I'll download that, install it on my phone, try and process it using redsn0w and let you know what happens, thanks for the help

Are u still on ' emergency calls only' screen?

Where are u located? I have an Activation sim card that will allow u to connect to itunes and get past that screen

Well, I used the sim card and the phone is back working.......


but.....


It is no longer unlocked or jailbroken, it is now running version 3.1.3 so nearly there, any other suggestions??

jailbreak with spirit and unlock with ultrasn0w

I just bit the bullet and brought it to a shop to fix it, only cost 20e to jailbreak and unlock so happy enough with that & its still on 3.1.3 so happy out
