Also Icarian like your choices in anime, similar to mine! you should watch the second run (the original story line) of FMA it's pretty good too. Death note too thats also amazing!

Yeah, I started watching Brotherhood too, it's pretty amazing too, but so far I think i prefer the original run. It's started deviating pretty hugely already, especially with the homunculus roles, and the new Xing cast. It's not quite as well paced as the original, but still great characters, great stories and believable world.

I've been hearing alot of good things about Death Note, guess I should ceck it out!

I'm Michael, 23 years old and work as a Records Management Analyst for a recruitment company. Originally from Wicklow i moved up to the big schmoke of Dublin about 4 months ago. I'm an avid fitness enthusiast; being interested in Weight Lifting, Olympic Lifting, Athletics, Powerlifting & Gymnastics. I plan on taking up Muay Thai and/or other martial arts soon too . Im a big nerd when it comes to gaming, my first console was a Commodore 64 when i was a wee lad and more of an avid PC gamer than a console gamer. I also enjoy cinema/movies, music, history,languages, physiology & nutrition.

I first was exposed to Anime at around 5 years of age with watching Akira (what a mindfcuk! i still don't get that film even now!) and then other Manga published Anime such as Street Fighter:The Animated movie, Devilman, Vampire Hunter D, AD Police etc (even bigger wtf's watching all that as a kid! ). I continued to watch these types of Anime until i came across Gungrave, which was what started my interest into watching Series instead of movies & OVAs. I like alot of the older stuff mentioned above but particularly like Gungrave, Full Metal Panic, Black Lagoon & Studio Ghibli Movies also.

I plan on going back to college again next year to study Applied Languages and Intercultural/Translation studies with Japanese & German. I visited Japan last summer (with other fellow boardsies like Johnny_Ultimate) for 5 weeks and backpacked around the country, visiting places such as Kyoto, Osaka, Takayama, Beppu, Hiroshima etc. Gathering all the experiences i encountered while i was there is why i want to hopefully further my education related to Japanese Studies,Language & Culture.

If anyone would like tips regarding travelling around Japan feel free to drop me a message ill be glad to help

I'm Bern(well Bernard but people seem to have shortened it down over the years), I'm 24, from Dublin and returning to college(DCU) in September as a mature student after loafing about for a few years

I love my manga, anime, games and the interweb in general. Gaming mostly I played CS for years and now a fair bit of Starcraft 2. First anime I watched (like loads of people) was Akira which I saw somewhere around the tender age of 11 or 12 which blew my mind. Didn't really get into anime till years later despite watching such classics as Gigantor, Speed Racer and Pokemon on TV. I guess Naruto was my next step, then Bleach and then to the wider world of different genres about 3 years ago. My favourites now would be Welcome to the NHK and Bakemonogatari. I love my films too, though I've slacked off in my cinema going in recent times. I'm a big fan of Korean films, a couple of my favourites being A Bittersweet Life and My Sassy Girl.

This is me, I hate cameras so I don't have many recent pics and I no longer have long hair!

I'm Anthony, just turned 24, and I work as community manager for a games publisher based in Dublin. My hobbies outside of animation are gaming (I'm a regular on the fighting games forum on Boards) and I enjoy keeping fit through boxing.

TBH I'm not sure when exactly I got into Animaton but I guess if you grew up with stuff on The Children's Channel like The Mysterious Cities of Gold and Ulysses 31 you were always going to fall into Japanese animation at some point! I've yet to see Akira though :S

I've been around Japan a fair few times, seen the sights etc, but nowadays I just visit to see my better half

my name is Paul and I'm 29 years old. I have liked anime since i saw ninja scroll as a kid but only got seriously into it when i was old enough to own a credit card, lol. I am working in Dublin but originally from waterford. i prefer the more mature animes and sci-fi and fantasy are my bread and butter but i will watch any show tbh. not a massive manga person but i have read a good bit and Elfen Lied is the best manga i have read. some of my favourite anime would be Berserk, Evangelion, Trigun, Cowboy Bepop. i am also a videogame addict and play a ****load of rpgs. none of my mates are into anime which sucks as nobody will go to cons and stuff and like nom-com i have to fly solo
