What's your favourite weapon?

Favourite and not what you think is best 'cos I assure you it's the player not the gun that makes the difference.

Mine without doubt is the F2000. I love that it's so underrated, widely hated, fantastic rate of fire, sounds awesome with or without a silencer and a headshot machine.

Seriously this thing will own anything in cqc except maybe the MPK5 or Vector and possibly TAR.

Recoil takes getting used to and you're never going to win shooting full auto but it really is very good. Grenade launcher helps with recoil and removes campers from hard to reach areas.

Scar-H for me, can get headshots from halfway across the map with it, 1-2 single shots fired and down they go. doesnt need stopping power as its powerful, extended mags are essential though, or scavenger/OMA to replish ammo, as you'll go through the entire capacity in a few encounters.

Primary: Scar, Tar or FAMAS

Secondary: Akimbo G18s - despite the noob stigma, I think they're by far the most effective secondary: accurate, decent range, high powered, quick to whip out, quick to reload, pretty big mags as well. /awaits flames

just started a new prestige recently so ive not got much unlocked. Im loving the MP5K FMJ, spas red dot secondary. Scavenger, cold blooded and ninja. Not sure why im having so much fun with these guns lately, but im finding them great for hardcore search and hardcore tdm

SCAR-H with silencer and ACOG sight, i've been using it since I unlocked it a few days ago and all of its habits are second nature for me now.

Once I'm more confident in my skills I'd like to try out the FAL or an SMG, any recommendations?

FAL.

I was a big fan of the G3 in COD4 and so was always comfortable with the single shot assault rifle. It really is a fantastic gun if used correctly and there within lies the problem. Most people don't really know to use it, they just bash the living daylights out of the buttons constantly :pac:
I've been told I cheat and that I use modded controllers when using the FAL , but honestly I don't. I just shoot quick if it is needed, very quick.

If your patient and unlock the red dot sight, you'll love the FAL.

If your going to go down the SMG route, I'd recommend the Vector. The only problem with the Vector though is the size of the clip is tiny.

Anyway, whatever you do try something different instead of the predictable guns. You'll become a better player for it

I actually love the Uzi as a SMG. It took me a while to get used to it, but it's rate of fire and lack of recoil make it a nice weapon. It's lower damage though so you will lose 1v1's if you don't stack the odds in your favour by other means.

One of my favs in the game is the AUG Hbar. I generally use it with the Bling perk so I can get it with the grip and one of the sights, and it's pretty great that way. I'm also a big fan of the SCAR (minus the mag sizes), and once I get it back, I'll probably use the ACR a fair bit.

For the secondaries, I love the spas 12 shotgun (I still findly remember managing to get the double headshot challenge with it once and being accused of hacking) and the PP2000 machine pistol. I never could like the G18, I hate being sprayed to death with someone Akimbo-ing them, and found them to be somewhat of a pain to use myself.

I tend to favour different ones, ill pick one at the start of the prestige level, and keep using it till I get all the way to level 70.

This round, its all about the Scar with Bling - silencer and launcher and a bit of stopping power.

Great gun, really underrated too. It reloads not much slower than an assault rifle and packs a wallop and big mag size so its dead handy, have it on my anti air class which is alongside stingers, scavenger, cold blooded and ninja.

My favourite was the Tar-21 for a long time. Now it's the RPD with grip and red dot sight, and stopping power as a perk. Massive mags - 5 kills are easy without reloading, but then a long time to reload.

Honourable mention to the Famas, which is also a beast when used with stopping power.

Famas and UMP. The UMP in particular is ridiculously overpowered.

Someone got a great kill against me last night with a throwing knife, from the raised area above the plane in Afghan, I was by the gun emplacement and it took me in chest. Beautiful shot.

Pity he stuck around, someone blew him to pieces with a predator before I could get back up there.

If I wasn't so attached to the Semtex (get it, attached, sticky bomb, ba-dum tish) I'd be getting some practice in with the throwing knives.
