I'm running with two guns a lot recently. The M4 as an assault rifle is often overlooked as you get it right at the start of the game, but it's actually very good. I'm using FMJ on it at the moment (just 4 more kills to max it out) and it's great.

Also, I've been using the UMP a lot more as I seem to get put into Derail and TrailerPark a lot recently and find it ideal for those maps. Stick on a Silencer and get loop around into their spawn and you can go to work...

Still would put my Tar as my go to assault rifle, with Spas as secondary and Sleight of hand Pro as first perk. But I'm trying to use other guns and having fun with them.

I went and mastered the M4 recently but even with SPP, I found myself losing out in a lot of 1 on 1 battles as well as getting a lot of assists as guys who I saw and shot managed to make it around a corner before being nabbed by a team-mate.
Mostly personal preference anyway as I'm fairly sure I've seen it grouped with the ACR for hit-damage.

SCAR with extended mags + Cold blooded = BEAST.
Silenced TAR + Cold Blooded is my silenced AR class.
ACR + SPP = I see you, I target you, you die.

Also a massive fan of the PP2000, use it with my sniper class, was the first gun I got to 2500 kills with!

Been experimenting with LMGs recently, love the RPD and the M...whatever the last LMG unlocked is, great weapons. Not so much a fan of the Steyr but decent enough.

UMP is great naturally, used the Vector a bit as well but the clip size is just too small to be a viable weapon and I'm not sure I could be arsed mastering it for Extended Mags!

Preferably one that kills, alot. :pac:

UMP w/ Red dot + Silencer.

Scar H with red dot sight, phenomenal long distance shots, low magazine tho, so i have the PP2000 for the secondary, and i use semtex, if it sticks to them its a great buz ,there's no way out of it, and its a massive sickener for the guys with the shields.

ive had people with shields leave games because they see i have semtex, LOL

Akimbo Rafficas are definitely my favourite guns in the game, especially with Steady Aim.

You can stop yourself getting blown up by a stuck semtex by sticking your head in a wall.

Primary: AK-47, SCAR-H, ACR, all + Silencer, no other attachments. Although, RPD isn't bad with Grip.. massive clip and virtually no recoil.
Secondary: Not going to lie, I like my Thumper (I actually rarely use it, I just like having it), otherwise it's the Raffika.
    Semtex + Stun
    Marathon Pro
    Lightweight Pro OR Coldblooded Pro
    Commando Pro

I only play Hardcore HQ Ricochet so stopping power isn't exactly a requirement.

No, not really. The normal modes aren't for me at all, very little skill involved (in hardcore, it's the fastest reaction time and best aim in a faceoff who wins, in normal mode it's just whoever has stopping power and the longest clip.. irritating, at best; also, wtf is the point in playing a mode that REQUIRES a certain perk for 90% of weapon choices?), and team deathmatch in HC is just boring. So, HC HQ Ricochet it is for me.

While I agree with you for the most part. In MW2, it's pure camping with heartbeat sensors, noob tubes, etc and nothing else. Does my head in

I loved Hardcore TDM and to a lesser extent Hardcore SnD(noob tubes across the map ) in COD4.

Not that I've noticed. I mean, of course if you play TDM there will be camping as everyone's in it for their K : D ratio so all that matters to them is the number, not the gameplay.. and of course people camp in SnD as you only get one life for x amount of time so they don't want to run around and get shot from the middle of nowhere. But in HQ if everyone's playing properly there's very little camping outside of around the cap itself, which is kind of required. Also never really see many heartbeat sensors around anymore, most people have realized how useless sensors/bling in general is at this stage.

Noob tubes is the only irritating thing, but it's present in all MW2 modes, not just HC.

But camping is far less common in standard TDM is my point. Hardcore is a cess pit of the type of players I mentioned above which is a damn shame.

My point regarding Hardcore SnD is every 2nd player has a noob tube/heartbeat sensors selected. In standard SnD that's certainly not the case for the majority of time.

In COD4 this was far less of a problem and that's why I loved the Hardcore modes in that game.

    edit -

... and of course I don't expect people to be running about in SnD. But hiding in a corner with a sensor, tube or shotty praying someone goes past you without a real concern for the objective and more the K/D is annoying as hell.
You watch any decent SnD player and tell me if they are doing the above.

I can't stand hardcore for all the camping. It's horrendous.

Normal S & D is great fun, but very stressful.

Primary: I love using the RPD with grip and Sleight of Hand Pro. Firing through that hallway in Skidrow is hella fun.
The P90 is also very one of my favourites to use with Steady Aim, just spraying the crap out of people :)

Secondary: Akimbo USPs or Akimbo M9s do the job for me.

Surely that means it's even more lag dependant that all the other game modes? So if you don't have 4 green bars for your connection, you're bunched before you start...

No it just means you pre-fire every corner with akimbo p90's :p

it gotta be the TAR all the way! That weapon is a eh weapon.

m21 Ebr is such an underrated weapon. Silenced with stopping power 90% of shots are 1hit kills, and if not you can fire a second and third shot in quick succession. It's no intervention, but it's something different to try for a while.

I remember I was playing a game with one of my friends after he just unlocked that gun, got the game winning kill using it by getting a double kill. Pretty damn powerful it seems.

Hate getting killed by the m21 for some reason, feels like the guy that killed you is muck at the game and needs a non-recoil sniper in order to kill you :(

Nah, it takes still, admittedly not as much as other snipers, to shoot and hit a person twice as they're running. I never spray with it. No need to ;)
