Got 94% as well. Aiming for same in JC. I'd say I got near full marks for Action Project, our teacher is the main examiner (or whatever thats called) so he made sure we did good in Action Project, so that around 60% secured

    WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 98% in my Pre and feel I did very well in the project. However, I'm not going to risk it and am going to revise the stuff and spend an hour on it during the break. It may be an easy A, but not if you just assume you get one.

I got 98% in my mocks and didn't study for 5 minutes :D Piss easy exam

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,553 ✭✭✭soccymonster

I really don't see the point of CSPE. You are supposedly learning about politics (the SECs main goal obviously) yet they barely put any challenging questions about the politicial world on the paper? We rarely opened a book as a result.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 65 ✭✭fiestapower

yeah i got 96% in mocks for cspe without study.. dont underestimate it tho :L

guy in my year failed the mocks :S

im gonna fail embaressed if im last to leave the exam room tho :L

I think most of the sections have a purpose. The photos of politicians tests you on your knowledge of politicians and political parties, the long Qs test how you can deal with problems like pollution, racism etc. and the short questions about raising awareness test your creativity to come up with events to create awareness.

I always use posters when I cant think of anything lol. Filming a documentary is a good answer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭kevin12345

What's everyone going to say for a question "How would your C.S.P.E class raise awareness on ___ in your school"

I usually say..."bring in a speaker, posters blah blah blah" :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,457 ✭✭✭giggsy664

    Go to the 3rd page.

    23.4% got A's, 41.4 % got B's, 0.1 % got NG's

Doubtful. I'll say I'll end up with a B because I could barely write for the journal and 10 minutes in my wrist was killing me so I could only write the bare minimum.

I'm doing the LC now, but seriously don't worry about CSPE. I did no study for it for the JC, and I got a A. I did it in 2008 if that makes any difference.

I wrote up my project well, so I'm sure that makes a lot of difference.

    My advice:
Stay in until the end. You will be finished early, but if you stay in to the end you can perfect your questions/posters. Most people will have left and you will be tempted to go out into the sun with your friends, but just stay - people have gotten Bs when they deserved As because of this.
Speak enthusiastically. Not just 'Youth centres will reduce boredom' but 'Youth centres will prevent crime problems, because x, y and z' etc.
