    Actually, I know anthropologists who would argue very convincingly that soccer and other sports have many of the attributes of a religion, especially in the fervour with which their fans embrace them!

    And I won't even mention Kilkenny / hurling ... >.<

    I'm not a huge football fan - I do enjoy watching the sport being played by very good teams though and very often I find the Premiership to be very entertaining.

    So I said I'd give a bit of the world cup the other day.

    I had to stop after 5 minutes with the noise of those fraking vuvuzelas. I imagine I won't be the only one turning it off because of them. FIFA will take not when the numbers of viewers is way down on what it was.

    However, just for fun, I will leave you all with this which was posted on another forum that some of you may or may not have access too...
