Lads anyone else getting calls about problem fox's. Had a call from a friend last week about one robbing hens and tonight go another call from the same lad who uncle is after loosing 3 peacocks to the fox who broke into the shed where the where kept. Two weeks-three weeks ago was out with another lad who's friend had lost countless ducks and chickens. And that to mention a local lad who's looking for me to go out and reduce the numbers before he release's this season birds.. I though there was meant to be a un-offical ceasfire on..

No such thing with foxes. There are probably a few cubs getting fed with all that lot being taken

Had a farmer in to me yesterday, thought a hen had been taken. I'm giving it a few days as the last time the hen was sitting on an egg!

No cease fire on vermin. My gran when she was alive would skin a fox with a caving knife, she kept fowl for years, it is unbelievable how cunning foxes are

Autumn/Winter I'd say Anto, unless something unexpected comes up. Can't find the time to fit in much shooting at the moment, too busy walking up & down mountains.

On that point, yes. A few problem foxes especially from one farmer whose land i have been shooting for some years. Kinda neglected the vermin control over the last while due to a number of issues, but have bagged 3 in the last 2 weeks. Lambs with chewed tails and both lambs/poultry going missing. Hence the reason i got the .223 recently. Its doing the job nicely.
