I think I watch 4:2:2 feeds about twice a year, when I do I just I just type in my DM's IP address into my PC & send the channel file back to it where it streams the feed via VLC without any problem.

Couldn't justify buying a box solely for something of a rare thing being viewed.

O'Byrne Cup final Kildare Meath feed on 23.5 East in 4:2:2. I haven't got my AzBox connected at present but the No/Audio Video message on the F15 tells me that it is 4:2:2. Very strong signal, channel name Wyzcom Path 1 which I think I only saw before on ITN Newsfeeds.

I noticed yesterday and today that the racing feeds on 1 West from Leopardstown for RTE 2 have the channel name GAA Iarbheo. Someone didn't change it from it was being used by TG4.

    23.5 East

    11603 H 15000.

Is there anyone available to help me with my azbox settings, I've managed to sort out my motor and I can get signal on 23.5 east etc but when I enter data from satelliweb I get no channels found message. I must be doing something wrong :(

Nearly all 4:2:2 feeds are in 8PSK. In Enigma 2 under System select DVB-S2 and under Modulation select 8PSK. But Enigma 2 is very unfriendly to the AzBox for feeds unless I am doing something wrong. You have to scan each combination of FEC with the Pilot On or Off, that is a total of 18 different combinations if you are unlucky enough not to hit the correct one earlier. And scanning is very slow and sometimes needs to be done more than once even for the right combination to produce the channel. Saying all that the most common FEC is 3/4 so try that one a couple of times first.

I have the AzBox looped through from the Dr HD receiver. I tune in the feeds on that receiver first so then I know there is a signal before going to the AzBox. But like most receivers it does not display the Modulation or FEC of the signal. The original firmware on the AzBox was much easier than Enigma 2. It let you field through all the combinations and when you found the correct one the signal bars appeared and then you scanned.

If you have a second receiver you could at least verify that the signal is there because with the AzBox you can never be sure.

I was away at the match in Clones so I did not see your plea for help earlier.

Thanks for your advice bud, I tried every combo on various feeds yesterday to no avail, I'm tempted to try and install the original firmware into the receiver but although I bought it new it came with enigma 2 installed, with it almost certain to be a clone, I'm a little apprehensive about doing so. I did manage to scan in 1 feed yesterday for Italian soccer but it didn't display a picture

Didnt get chance to check it, dish gone off line so need to tweak it this week, what size dish you got, and is it only the matches that are on telly that are being shown, I thought the whole point was to get the matches that werent being televised live?

I only put that one up because it was such a strong signal and I had confirmed that it cleared on my AzBox. People can only post what they find, nobody can make the broadcasters feed something just for our benefit. The TG4 picture is in HD on the feeds, better than my terrestrial TG4.

Not 4:2:2 but an example of a feed for a game not being televised live. If anyone wants to watch Kildare Tyrone live instead of waiting for the deferred coverage.

    GAA Beo: Kildare - Tyrone

I can get sound but no picture with an uno and blackhole 2.0.7. What receiver does 4:2:2? And easy to set up or does it have to be an azbox?

    Yes an Azbox.

OR you use Webif function and stream it from VLC to display on a PC/laptop/tablet.

I wonder how much the GAA got paid from sky for this and perhaps the players themselves should look for some sort of compensation for same..
    AS IF....

It's because of that notion that soccer players are pansies, playing for coin instead of pride.

23.5 East. The feed on 11477 has English commentary with Marty Morrissey and Tommy Carr. It is 4:2:0. Channel name NFL Finals. Will probably be there for Dublin Derry also.

11466 is in Irish. Sound only on Dr HD receiver but also on AzBox so it is not 4:2:2 but not regular 4:2:0 either.

    Frequency: 11466 - Pol: H - SR: 14400 - FEC: -

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 23,411 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

11477 H 5000 is 8PSK 3/4 Pilot ON on AzBox. 74% signal on AzBox, 12.2 dB on Dr HD box, so good strong signal. My dish is 1.1 metre.

Dublin Derry commentary Ger Canning and Ciaran Whelan.

Cant figure this for the life of me.

Channel CT HD @ 80%. Nothing (not a smigen) on a manual or blind scan. Must be the offset on the TD88.

This one is strong today on 23.5 East

    11585 H 3/4 8PSK Pilot On 4:2:0. 13.1 dB Dr HD, 81% AzBox.

Channel name Thurles HD nice sharp HD picture compared to the TG4 terrestrial transmission. Feed is about 10 seconds ahead of the transmission.
