Yeah you don't notice PAL slowdown until you've played the NTSC version but once you experience the difference there's no going back. The games play just so much smoother. I'm pretty sure there's slowdown in FFIX considering Square never bothered their arse doing a proper PAL conversion until Kingdom Hearts 2.
