    would i be able to get a licence for a hammerli x-esse .22
    for target shooting not olympic shooting , is it an unrestricted firearm now.:cool: Or is it just a pipe dream................................THANKS

    If you are a member of an authorised range (with adequate facilities) and security requirements, etc are in place then there is nothing to stop you applying.

    Its up to your Super after that.

    Once the mag capacity does not exceed 5 rounds.

    You could. You'd have to be a member in a target shooting club though. Take a read through the licencing announcement at the top of the shooting forum (it's the link in red).
