I stopped posting here for a while, my style is a little off the radar for this forum, but nonetheless, I enjoy participating and shall do so again now that SapSarrow is back!

I wore this suit about a month ago for after work drinks, but I recently received an interesting email regarding its former life. The son of the woman who designed and made this suit contacted me after seeing it on my blog. Apparently she worked in London during the 1950s and 60s, and had a small but affluent client base, such as the French ambassadors wife. This suit would have been tailor made for one of her clients. She did not produce or design clothes for general sale, only on commission. This dress was probably sold off in an estate sale. I'm thrilled to have a link with the past, which is something you don't get with modern high street clothes. The dress itself has some minor cigarette burns and when I hand washed it the dye ran badly :( I shall be sending it to the dry cleaners from now on, its one of my favourite items in my wardrobe and is lovely to wear!

This is a 1960s silk suit, the tights are uniqlo, the shoes are melissa and the bag is accessorize from about 2007.

I went to a Film Fatale night recently, the theme was 1920s, so I gladly obliged!

My dress is Noa Noa, my coat is Peter O'Brien from the 2009 A-Wear collaboration, and my earrings are last year's Topshop.

I bought these in Penneys. The dress was about €8 on sale and the shoes were €20. I think the shoes are quite trashy, perfect for a pink dress. I think the red polka-dot dress is supercute. :)

I questioned whether wearing a 100% wool tie was a good idea today, but it hasn't turned out to be as hot as was predicted, so I think I got away with it!
