Aye, for now. Two mosh pit style playlists with only Stimulus maps on rotation. Totally took the shine off to go looking for HC TDM and ending up in three consecutive SnD campfests, ie 11 players hiding because they didn't know the maps.

I can see the logic in the playlists, you can't put the maps in regular rotation or other players get kicked, or worse the maps get vetoed on day one. Still, Stimulus playlists are a piecemeal implementation.

The maps themselves are good by MW2 standards. Storm is an early favourite, but dunno if it'll keep. Salvage feels very assymetric,like one side of the map is missing. Bailout is good for now, but some choke points are really only flankable by going into no mans land and I fear it'll be another Skidrow/Karachi situation, ie in those maps losing teams back themselves into Ranger spawn/chicken market and play lockdown.

Same thing happened to me, said I'd try my mastercard over my Visa and deleted my card details but when I tried adding any card again it wouldn't leave me, oh well not that pushed as played the maps on the 360 and tbh not that impressed. Think I'll pick up the psn voucher

Of the new maps I like Storm the best. It will be a good TDM map. I don't like Salvage. I spent over an hour playing the stimulus and still haven't played Overgrown yet. What's that all about?!

Downloaded them earlier but was not blown away by any of the new maps. I think Bailout (the multi-level apartment complex) is the best of a bad bunch as Storm (the industrial park littered with heavy machinery) is too small and one sided and Salvage (snowy car junkyard) is just plain ugly!

Hopefully I'll take more of a shine to them once I can pick the games that I like because I cannot stand Capture The Flag and had to play it 3 times in a row to "explore" the new maps.

Yeah - I usually play HCTDM only - I want to go back to that with these new maps.

I seem to be playing on Overgrown a lot last night in the 3 hours I played it. Enjoyed it, even though I had just prestiged and had the default classes to use for the first few games.

Crash is a welcome addition, always enjoyed it in MW1, played a few TDM on it last night and the other team camped up in the garage/apartment in the far corner for most of it, highly annoying.

Of the 3 new maps Storm and Bailout were the only maps I got to play, and on TDM only so looking forward for some more game time later today, 13.99 seems a bit excessive at the moment though.

Welcome to the club best bet would be to head to a store like xtravision or game and buy a pre-pay card as it could be tomorrow before sony get this mess sorted out

With regards to not being able to choose your game type on the new maps, will this change or will it always be random?
Cause I downloaded it last night and was really pissed off when I had to play only HQ and Capture the flag. :mad:

Keep trying, it took me about 22 go's last night, I added €15 and when it finally accepted the transaction it told me €30 had been added to my psn account. WTF?

Honestly i feel pissed about the stimilus pack, it says it contains 5 additional maps for online game play, nowhere does it say you can only play a few game modes and even then you have to play the modes at random at IWs discretion.
Serious false advertising, sort it out IW (if ye have any staff left)

Its only for the first day or two .........it was the same with the xbox

I went into spectate mode and flew around the maps for a while looking at routes and whatnot, seem pretty cool, had a game of TDM on Bailout last night, fun map, lots of hideaway corners for campers though. Storm is cool as well.

I had similar probelms yesterday, tried at 4:30 got no joy, server was to full got an error message to confirm it, think it was 800210312 or something similar. Tried again at 7:45, again no luck, tried at 9:00 again no luck, made one last attempt to add funds at 11:30 and I managed to add the funds and downlaod it, took about 13 minutes to download.

Happy out, persist and you will get them soon.

Im happy with them anyway.
I downloaded the wrong version to begin with, got pissed off that it wouldnt work, then eventually realised what the problem was.
8 mins to download 315mb isnt too bad

Roll on being able to play FFA on these levels.

I was having serious issues with my internet yesterday and it took 3 hours to download!! :eek::eek:
(my connection is only 1mb ................upgrading to 15 on fri!!:D)

Would be an interesting excercise to track your accuracy after the upgrade, i bet you will see a noticable difference in 1on1 Kills. For the better that is.

Worst thing about the Map Pack is you are forced to play modes like Sabotage and HQ:rolleyes:

its really annoying and putting me off the new maps,the only game modes im getting is sabotage and capture the flag and i hate them modes,havnt had a decent game yet

Them maps are great played 4 matches and got 30 kills in each except the last one (27), I was planting like no tomorrow, must have taken down at least 10 harriers, 600xp for one harrier :eek:.

As mentioned should be tomorrow or saturday mappacks should go into other game modes had same on 360 and 2 days after release I could play tdm with the maps. I would hope Sony will extend the XP due to the hassle lots of people had with getting the maps, but I suppose they won't. At least the credit card system is working ok now.

Looks like the new maps are being put into standard playlists now, went into normal FFA and the first map there was Overgrown.

Thank God for that, I thought Id wasted 10 bucks on capture the flag games! It must surely be because of head counts for the different boards to keep everyone happy. Some of the Sabotage and CTF freaks would kick up a fuss if (like normal mode) no one bothered playing in them.

Got caught up in a CTF game on the very first game of the new boards, and one guy got 65 kills. I had never seen more than 45 odd. And I play it A LOT!

Im really looking forward to playing TDM now, thanks lads, just cheered me up no end!
