    Do you think it's cool?
Now I'm being really serious here I know loads of people in school that do it and I think it looks stupid. Do you agree?

I only do it when I have to remove the snow from the stairs. So only for 10 minutes after a snow storm. Yeah it looks really stupid to be honest.

It's ok in a montage just after an unexpected shot at the title against Apollo Creed.

Tucking your pants into your socks should only be done
    a) when cycling
    b) fear of rats/mice running up there in a basement

In about 1989/90 or so there was a phase of people tucking their tracksuits into their white socks. Thankfully it didnt last too long.
I think it coincided with sticking the tongues of their runners out. I can remember there even being runners with 2 tongues, one to be tucked under the laces and the other to stick out!

Anyway, seems as if 'fashion' is quite a cyclical thing, so expect it to fade off within a year.

    Stay strong. Don't do it!

No, and I call them trousers. Pants go underneath the trousers.

I do when im cycling with trousers or jeans on, if its only tracksuit bottoms I dont bother as I dont mind them getting a little 'durchty'

    Enough already :p

I used to have bicycle clips when I was young to protect me flares from the chain oil.

    Sexy.

I cant. I tuck me nob into me socks, it would be uncomfortable to have the pants tucked in aswell.

Tuck your knob up under the waistband of your jocks.

That's what everyone does(if you have a knob that is)

Yes when cycling coz I'm not embarrassed to not have my chain-ring drag me off my bike.

Yes when wearing jeans tucked in docs :pac: but that's cool so it's ok.

"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months" - Oscar Wilde.

I have done when cycling and wearing pants not suited to cycling. But I would usually never do it, it's horrid TBH.

If I'm wearing hightops with skinny jeans then I'll tuck them in, only the hem, and then fold the bottom of the jean leg over the top of the hightop to make it looks as if it's folded over it.

    Looks well :P

But by virtue of wearing skinny jeans you already look ridiculous.

This has actually been going on for quite a while now. I remember seeing it for the last 2 years in TAllaght, all the scummers are doing it.

They look retarded as they usually have their hands on their balls while walking down the street with their trousers tucked into their socks. Even the kids going to school had them in their socks. I was hoping a car would hit one of them one day because I would love to see a scummer flying through the air with his hands on his balls and pants tucked into socks. Go on, try to picture it. Bet you laugh :D

I do it if I'm playing soccer on the grass in wet weather. It stops the ends of my pants soaking up rainwater.

Then afterwards I untuck my pants out of my socks. :D

I know two teen girls who are doing this. The conversation in the room turned to this trend. I said something along the lines of it's scumbag fashion. The teens defence was 'but everyone is doing it' my answer was 'well then to everyone else you all look like scumbag' in their self contained world of 13-18 year olds their reply was 'but everyone's doing it'

I don't know if it's any worse or better than the white socks but they're wearing day glow coloured socks. I hate day glow coloured 'fashionable' clothes but I'm wondering this this stupid trend cancel out the stupid day glow trend when applied together:confused:

Nope, my pants aren't that long. Neither are my boxers.

Oh, oh, you mean trousers, right? Eh, no. I'll say it slow.

    You. Look. Like. A. R'tard.

There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Even if you're on a bike, and have to tuck them in for a real reason, you still look like a bit of a spa.

I'm trying to figure that out , if you have your jeans tucked into your socks, how are you having your jeans folded over the top of the hightops? You're fcuking with my head, sorry :D

    .

Well because the hightops have a....high top...the trousers wont go all the way down, so I'll tuck the hem in, then fold out over the hightop, looking as if it's sinking down over it, rather than folded in, ya get me?
    Pic.

Aren't you female? Skinny jeans look ridiculous because if a guy gets a boner it's all there for the world to see, now I am not adverse to getting naked in public, but that's just plain bad.

    I totally get ya ;)

It is evident from your diagram, that in order to combat the lower trouser gathering common with the use of hightops and skinny jeans, you tuck your jeans slightly into your socks and let the overflow fold over the hightops. Got it. I imagine that requires some shrewd and calculated manoeuvres on your part, I am impressed!

still I think docs are far superior myself.

But I do prefer baggy ass jeans on lads tbh.

I've been informed that one of the original reasons this was done was to aid the young gurrier in shoplifting. They can put stuff into their trackie bottoms and it won't fall out the end.

If this is true then we've all turned into our parents! Criticizing the next generation for what they do.

But if they really are tucking their pants into their ****ing socks to be fashionable pikeys must have taken over heat and cosmos magazine.

Sometimes if I'm going to the shop in my sweatpants and it's raining out, I'll tuck my sweats into my socks so they don't get wet at the bottom.

Sometimes when I'm cycling I'll tuck my trouser legs into my socks. Or on one of the very very rare occasions I'm wearing wellies, like if it's a horrible rainy day and my mum needs help in the garden, I'll tuck them into my socks cos it's easier to get the wellies on. But on a normal day, no
