OK sorry for the delay guys but I had some family stuff that I had to attend to first.
NOW, I suppose I should be sad because the turn out was not great at all even tho the list was long, however, those who did travel down and all the locals who were at the Kilford said they had a brilliant time and the craic was mighty (as you will see from the photos) we had a few extras in for the cash action afterwords, we had poker, we had drink, we had music, we had dance, and we had KAREOKE.
I would like to thank Mick Dinan, The Kilford Arms and all the staff for the support, thanks to the players who made the trip, thanks to Ashley and John and all the dealers for doing a great job, Thanks to Denis Reyes for always being in a good mood, Clare for getting the party started, and my wife Grainne for all the work she put in, I hope I left no one out, if I did I am sorry, any hows the side event did not go ahead and the €50 turbo turned out to be a nice little 10 handed Sit & Go, the results for the satellite as follows:
Entry's = 17, Re-buys = 17, Add On's = 12, Total prize pool = €1.090, deal done 5 handed, everyone put in €10 and the shortest stack put in €20 to make another ticket, 5 in total.
Before the main event started I presented Joe O' Neill with a trophy for last year (I did not have it last year for reasons beyond by control, I am not going into it now) Joe was pleased with it and now has proof that he can play poker, so the results for the main event as follows,
46 players with a prize pool of €9,200, I stretched it out to pay the final table of 9,
1 Alan Dooley €3500 (Winstons Poker Crystal Chip & free entry next year)
2nd Eoin Starr €2000
3rd Jamie Brown €1000
4th Collette Murphy €750
5th David Millea €550
6th Jim Wall €450
7th Richard Roach €350
