    South Park is incredible.

South Park is, without a doubt, one of the finest satirical programmes ever created. Everything, from cartoon violence to American Political Policy, is lampooned and satirised by this cutting-edge and thoroughly vicious adult cartoon.

Nothing is sacred and hopefully so it shall remain.:D

i used to hate South Park, first 4/5 seasons, maybe more.

Started watching it again last year and it's the funniest shit i've seen in a long time

The 2 starvin marvin episodes are some of the finest comedy ever written.

Some are worth seeing. Some really aren't.
But you can't put a blanket opinion on the show.
Perhaps one of you experts could put a guide on the TV forum of whats worth seeing???

Brilliant, south park is genius, and randy is its true star. Singing kansas and measuring his movements

SP, when it's funny, is the best comedy ever... but sometimes it can be the Ricky Gervais of humour - trying way to hard & painfully unfunny - recently, it's sadly been the latter.

I don't know the names of them, but google the following

    Randy the alcoholic
    starvin marvin
the one where butters' parents think they've killed him
    chickenlover
    cartman and the alien probe
    the sexual harassment panda one

    for starters

If Ricky Gervais is not the Ricky Gervais of humour, what is he the Ricky Gervais of?

Bollox, nothing Western is sacred, Until they make an episode with Muhammed then they're just chicken**** populists.

South Park is basically this generations Monty Python Flying Circus (with the one exception that SP is actually funny).

WTF, Parker and Stone wouldnt even be good enough to lick the Sweat off one of the Pythons Balls.

Monty Python is funny on many levels simultaneously, it is IMO one of the Comedic pinnacles of human achievement.
Southpark is just a string of Swearing and Fart Jokes by comparison.

You can write of South Park as a collection of swearing & fart jokes and I can write off Monty Python as a bunch of public schoolboys dressing up as women and acting like prats.

Mohammed features in some episodes. I guess they are not chicken**** populists then. Does this make you someone who rants about things you know nothing of?

Southpark can be great. Some episodes don't work too well but generally it's got a sharp eye for satire and a healthy dose of gross-out humour in there too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭entropi

"Over Logging" and "Fishsticks" are also brilliant examples of South Park episodes:D
