Kozel Cerny not a bad beer a dark one again on draught.

Slight roasted malt taste and a sweet caramel aftertaste.

Had it years ago but thought it was a heavier beer. Much more watery than I remembered.

    Anyone seen Rolling Rock anywhere?

There was a time in summer 2004 where most supermarkets and off-licences sold it but not anymore.

I know its a light beer but I thought it had a really, really nice taste to it.

I had a thread on this some time ago. Contacted Next Door head office and they told me that Aheueser Busch bought the brewing co. that made Rolling Rock (Pensylvannia brew co.).Anyhow, they don't supply Rolling Rock to anywhere in Ireland but it can be found in Northern Ireland and England. Lovely beer. Had it last in the states a couple years back ummm

St Norbert Yeast beer really good beer.

Staropramen Nefiltrovaný unfiltered beer another nice yeast beer but the St Norbert blows it away.

What's a yeast beer? Aren't all beers "yeast beers"?

I take it it's some kinda marketing schtik?

    It's an unfiltered lager.

Though I've heard it is a bit of a schtick. Budvar UK have made a big deal over their yeast beer being on limited distribution in Britain, but any reports I've heard are that it's not much different to standard Budvar.

Yeah they seem to be all unfiltered beers. The English explanation of some beers are not great to be honest and my Czech isn't great.

Love the way it pours. Reminds me of treacle!
Wasn't bowled over by the taste though. Not a huge fan of these whisey-cask beers.

Had a Left Hand Milk Stout last night.

Didn't think it was anything special at all really.

It's nice and all, but I wouldn't be rushing to get it again.

Drank my first one last night, was disappointed too. Mine had no head, maybe i used a wrong glass. Have three more to experiment with.

Francisan Well can do no wrong in my book. I think they sold it as castle red in the bull and castle as well (not sure though).

I just got back from holiday and can't afford to go to the Beer Festival. However, this did arrive for me while I was away so it has eased the blow.

There was 6 cans of 77 but the others have been drank.

KJ do you have a link for the Alpha Dog ? Trying to find information about it but not getting many results. I assume it mustn't be half bad if you got 6 of them !

Would love to know what you think of Brewdog's International Arms Race(and the Hunter Foundation) since I will probably get it next week.

Am surprised 77 Lager is in a can already and 5AM Saint isn't. I really did not like 77.

Alpha Dog is brewed exclusively for export to Norway but they decided to release some to shareholders only and for 6 for £5, I thought I may as well get 6. Haven't tasted it yet though.
I reckon I will try the 2 arms race ones tonight. Looking forward to those. I read that at at their events in UK, Flying Dog came out as the winner.
77 has been in cans for a while but yeah I would prefer some canned Saint over 77.

    You're a shareholder in BrewDog?

They do an "Equity for Punks" every once in a while where you can invest in the company. Has some cool perks, especially if you live near one of their pubs.

That's pretty cool, I would love to invest in the company.

Yeah I bought shares. I get 20% off the online shop and 5% off in their bars. Also you can buy stuff that only shareholders get access to. I also get to own shares in my favourite brewery.

Don't forget the membership card, key-ring bottle-opener, transfer tattoos, fridge magnet, and stickers. :)

I believe there was also a pencil.

So I tried both of the International Arns Race and was disappointed by both. They both tasted curiously of Irn Bru.

Over the weekend I had some Wells Waggle Dance which is lovely, tried their Banana Bread Beer which was ok and had a Few pints of Tom Creans in Sheehans which was very refreshing. Overall a good beer experience weekend.

Fancied a beer so dropped into the local carryout while picking up a few things from the shop beside it, in a stout mood (must be the weather!) so picked up 3 cans of Guinness Extra as it was either that or Draught.

As bland as Guinness Draught is, the Extra and Foreign Extra are lovely beers.

I do enjoy a sip of this now and then :)

My favorite, Hercules Double IPA, is gone from Ireland. Only ever got to taste it once! Does anyone know of somewhere that might possibly have a reserve of it in North/Central Dublin? Long shot I know.
