Their Porter is top notch, nicer than Dark Arts imo. I've found Dark Arts a bit hit and miss on draught really - was served it nitro in O'Neill's even, but the Messrs stuff was really good.

I had a pint of Dark Arts in L Mulligans on Sunday and it wasn't as great as previous offerings.
Also had a pint of it in O'Neills a few weeks ago and had a good giggle when the barman had awful difficulties pouring a pint of it because there was too much gas in the system!

Perhaps spurred by the recent dick-move from Diageo, I got the Brew Dog "IPA is Dead" pack earlier. Any suggestions as to which of them I should start with?

For me the Challenger is the least interesting/most recognisable so I'd get that one out of the way first and enjoy the rest.

If I remember correctly Motueka and Galaxy were similar but one gave alot more bitterness than the other.

Fyne Highlander ale - a pleasant enough beer that pours an orange marmalade colour.

Smells sweet and tastes malty with a hint of lemon citrus after taste that leave the mouth slightly dry.

Got some Old Peculier, Hobgoblin and went back to an old favourite Fullers Honeydew from Tesco this evening.

BrewDog Abstrakt 09. It's 17.1% of absolutely beautiful imperial stout.

2012 Bigfoot. Not has bitter/hoppy as I remember from 2011 but I think that's down to my palette changing.

@darreng where did you pick up bigfoot, been wanting to try some. Had shipyard IPA and export beer from tesco. Normally a big IPA man but actually preferred the beer. Have a Dobbin waiting for me in the fridge next

You can get them in Hollands in Bray.

Finally tracked down Mcardles Ale. Nothing to write home about but better than swithwichs will be sticking to Galway Hooker though as my regular pub ale

Having a Clothworthy Dobbin tonight. Beautiful Beer.

Had a Caledonia Smooth tonight. It had a nice "smooth" and easy to drink feel to it but it was very bland with no proper flavour or bite to it.

The triple hopped logo means nothing as there is no hops bitterness off it.

Are they calling it triple hopped, a thread here a while back said they were calling it "hopless"? Not that the triple-hopped tag ever means anything anyway, pretty much every beer in the world brags about being triple hopped.

I actually tried Caledonia Smooth tonight as well, in the Czech Inn. Wasn't impressed at all really. Easy to drink, as you say, but if you're looking for a bit of flavour you won't find it there. There was a bit of a taste there that reminded me of a badly poured Guinness, but I can't put my finger on it.

The other night I had a Sierra Nevada Harvest in the Porterhouse followed by a Clotworthy Dobbin. Both delicious, I had always thought Dobbin was a stout as I thought I heard it compared to the likes of Engine Oil Porter on here before, but anyway. One of the nicest red ales I've had in a while.

Had a pint of SN Torpedo in the Bull & Castle last night, they have it on rotation tap right now. Delicious as always, though I thought it wasn't quite as flavourful as when I have it from a bottle, maybe that's just in my head though. Followed that with a Galway Hooker; in retrospect, I probably should have done it the other way around as Torpedo has a stronger flavour that kind of overshadowed the Hooker.

PS, today for the first time I saw bottles of Sierra Nevada in Super Valu on Aston Quay. Was delighted. Hopefully this means some of the other SN offerings will show up there soon.

I picked up a 6 pack from McHugh's in Artane

Mainly Brooklyn Larger as that is the only half decent beer my local offie has currently. They are obviously waiting for me to finish it all off ... on my 3rd six pack in as many weeks

Only your third? I must be an alcoholic, I drink about 3 six packs a week at least. I may have a problem.

I'm more into my whiskey, if I drank as much beer as I drink whiskey I shudder to think what my liver would be like :p

Usually have side glass of water with my whiskey but like a few beers at the weekend as I only go to the pub once a week ... due to those pesky kids ;).

Having a bottle of this in the Bull and Castle. Tastes (and looks) kind of like a cider, very bitter. Slight vinegary notes to it. Can't help but go back for another taste of it though. Lovely sourness to it. Not sure if I'd buy another though. It's a confusing beer.

I love lambics, especially super sour ones.

I'm having a bottle of Castle Rock Harvest Pale. Very nice pale ale that I picked up in Tesco.

Only bought this beer because it made me laugh but god its really good.
    (American Jewish Celebration Beer)
Shmaltz Brewing Company - HeBrew Hop Manna IPA

Kinda reminds me of a Thornbridge beer like as its quite citrusy and a great hop hit. Picked up a six pack to get me through to Friday.

Picked up the following in Tesco today. Can't remember trying Whitewater before so basically got a couple of each of theirs a couple others just round up.

    Belfast Ale
    Belfast Black
    Clothworthy Dobbin
    Copperhead

    Moonraker (JW Lees)

And 2 O'Hara's Irish stout at regular price.

    Moonraker (JW Lees)

Tried Moonraker for the first time on the Tesco deal. I'm generally a fan of strong dark ales, and this one didn't disappoint.

    It's huge.

Have had a few beers from The Kernel over the past couple of weeks, pale ales and IPAs. Not entirely sure what to make of them, on the pale ales you have to very careful pouring them, if any yeast gets into the glass it can really over power the hops. On the other hand, the IPAs are some of the best I have had and can carry a bit of yeast.

Some of the bars around have some kegs from The Kernel in so need to get around to trying it.

Cheers, changed it to a link. didn't know if it was just a cache problem on my end or not.
