If I was going to rob the place I'd be leaving with much more expensive stuff. :p

Was very tempted by a bottle of Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary that the fella working there said was the best in the shop but I just couldn't justify the €15. Maybe as a treat for the end of college.

I had the Saltaire Triple Chocoholic recently, thought it was very nice, better then the Youngs Double Chocolate Stout.

Got the two Porterhouse Celebrations and the Meantime Loondon Stout aswell, looking forward to them. The Tumblers great but maybe a little sweet from what I remember.

I got the Meantime Raspberry Grand Cru, it'll be my first Grand Cru so Im not sure what to expect, Ill have to read up a little before I go for that one.

Last but not least I took the plunge and got a Westvleteren 12 gift back, not sure what to do with it, Ill probably have one in the next few weeks and then go from there

Just because I'm jealous of the rest... The Joker IPA is pretty bland. Not hoppy at all!

Yup, labelled as a single hop IIPA.

It is very good, although I wouldn't necessarily rate it above their northern/southern hemisphere fresh hop offerings, which are slightly less in volume (liquid, I mean, as opposed to ABV) for about half the cost. Perhaps worth sticking in the cellar.

Yeah it's nothing special, but for that price, there really isn't anything else.

Took the plunge today and strayed from the usual Heineken, Tuborg, Bavaria etc. and got 4 bottles of Hoegaarden and I must say I love it!

I found all of the bourganel beers to be a bit ****.
I'm drinking a Brooklyn black ops. Huge amount of flavour.

Galway Bay Strange Brew - strange because the label doesn't describe the beer.
Kinda reminds me of an English bitter. None in paticular just that style. Drinkable but I will move on to something a bit more memorable.

Tonight I'll mostly be drinking Augustiner Helles.

Although watching the Eurovision Late Late Show special might drive me off the beer onto the hard stuff yet!

It's a Pale Ale, it's fairly bland alright though.

The porter is the best of the 3 they brew.

Had one of those aswell, it was rotten, smelt like a really sweet nougat but then it just tasted like real cheap fizzy crap with raw almonds (in a bad way) followed by a slight urge to gag.

Tried the Meantime Raspberry Grand Cru straight after which was delicious.

I tried the Anderson Valley IIPA - bleugh!!!
Just all wrong, generally unpleasant beer. Twould put me off trying any others of their range.

The Flying dog IIPA Centennial single hop was much better. Not a stand out beer but I'd have no problem drinking it again.

Really? I had the IPA and the seasonal ale and they were both solid beers.
Could it be a bottle or even a bad batch?

Dunno, sometimes otherwise good producers can make the odd terrible beer.
Victory golden monkey springs to mind.

Today I've enjoyed a bottle of Clothworthy Dobbin ( gift of two bottles the gf brought back from a trip to Belfast last weekend) which I throughly enjoyed.

Sitting in the Salthouse now sipping an Anchor Porter and had a bottle of Kipling earlier. Pretty happy day fir my taste buds! Think an ðŸ”Odell's IPA will be had next and then a PHBC Celebration to finish!

Sitting in The Black Sheep for lunch and had a Seirra Nevada Porter to wash down my burger which was lovely but decided to get one more before I wander to stony batter on my way to the train station and went of a Cutthroat Porter by Odell Brewing and I have to say I am mightly impressed, fantastic american porter style beer (probably my favourite style of beer), very well rounded, decent amount of bitterness to cut through the roasted malts and caramel tastes and a really earthy kick at the end, almost herbal.

Will def be buying a few of these in my next drinkstore order!
