    I hope he cuts his finger or something minor that'll make him see that leaving the computer was a bad idea

    I hope he bites into a tangerine and a little drop of juice squirts into his eye leaving him to question his absence from IRC

    I hope he accidentally thinks there's one step too many on the stairs making him stumble slightly and wonder why he left us

    I hope he has such a tough time finding the end of the sellotape that he gives up and wonders why he's not on IRC

    I hope he opens his wallet looking for his bank card to discover it was actually in a different slot than he expected, wonder if he too is misplaced

    I hope he goes in search of a custard cream in the biscuit tin only to find the tin empty, just like his heart without IRC

    I hope he goes to plug a usb drive in only to do it the wrong way around, and realise that he may have his life's order the wrong way around

    I hope while he's off doing something "productive" like reading, he gets a paper cut, and rues the day he ever left IRC.
