how long for licence to come back

good day every one maybe its not so good with the weather but whats the average wait for the renewal licence to come back for a non restricted rifle as mine old licence is out of date in 3 weeks and i applied 9 weekl ago and what happens if its not back by the time my licence is out i rang the cop shop and they gave me usual story we will look into it

Reports from around the country seemt to vary from 4 weeks to nearly 5 months.

There is an agreement that once you have applied for your new license within the time frame of your extension then even if the license has not been granted and is still beng processed then you can use your firearm until such a time as you get the license or worst case the refusal.
