You know when someone get's thanked for a post, well, does it mean anything.
Does a 'Thanks' have a value. I'm not talking about a monetary value, but a value per se. Sometimes it can be people 'thanking' their 'friends' or like minded people.

Well does it have a value, it it worthwhile.

It stops a lot of people posting +1 posts, which is a good thing. Also, using thanks means you can say "Yeah I agree with that post" without having to bother posting. IMO.

It's very convenient. You can agree, thank, or just like a post without repeating comments from others or having to write a whole post yourself.

You can thank a certain person, say, 20 times in a day and then remove them all in one go leaving them wondering why their thanks count is running backwards and see if they'll go to feedback...

I've often looked at a post I was thanked for and wondered what part of it I was thanked for. Like if I make an AH type remark followed by a valid informative answer, are they appreciating my comic hilarity or my helpfulness.
