Playing with a guy over the weekend on the PS3 and he had a hack giving him a permenant UAV. Say what you like about noobtubes, mlc, quickscoping etc etc but hacking kills the game more than anything else. Two of my friends were hacked down to 9th Prestige in a lobby we were in but I got away.

:pac: despite popular belief , the french have won more battles than any other country in history , still in 95% of these victorys they have cheated or the country they were at war with just had 2 horses , an ox and a musket with a warped barrel .
personally i find there tactics underhanded and infuriating :mad:

Don't like posting in this thread 'cos of my fanboyism but played my first game of s+d hardcore yesterday. Oh dear! The other team were made up of OMA/Noob Tubes and Thumpers (and possibly the French).
Map was overgrown and spawned on the defence side. It was just boom boom boom boom - constantly. It was very ridiculous. Was huddled in the garage at the back clutching my silenced vector thinking "Shouldn't have bought a stick to a gunfight"
What really annoyed me was playing on my second account which has f-all unlocked so I couldn't retaliate with extreme prejudice.:(

i've been playing it for the last few weeks and have really been enjoying it - i stick to tdm as most other modes have been hacked. still a few tubers and baby monitors hanging around but a lot less than i remember. can't do much about the commandos out there though, still as annoying as ever when they teleport through your shotgun blast.

Noob tubing is worse imo. Was in an s&d lobby a while back and there was a couple of them running OMA. It was just constant boom, boom, boom....... It was so annoying I had to turn the sound down. Then when we went 3-0 they quit.
Unless your talking about some hack for QSrs that gives them an aimbot then I agree

Worst was those who OMA noob tubed at the very beginning once or twice before switching to their xIxIxxxxXtrICkShotZzZzIiiiiiixXxXXx class namely for the final killcam.

Noob tubing and OMA really does ruin MW2, which is a shame as I do love some of the maps e.g. Terminal, such a great map. But ya, last time I played it there was just a constant noise of explosives going off.

I've a lot of love and hate for MW2,actually,it's more the people who play it I have the hate for.
It looks great,sounds great and has the best selection of maps there has ever been in any game.

It's ruined by the twats that exploit OMA,noobtubes,tactical insertions,the M/L/C combination,quickscoping muppets and little corner dwelling/top of the stairs/just inside the door akimbo c**theads.

Great game,just needed some fixes and better ground rules.

yes yes and yes. I'm back playing it now and it still feels better to play than MW3 when you're not in a lobby of tubing assholes, being quickscoped doesnt bother me so much and I cant remember the last time I got stabbed by a m/l/c'er. Terminal is my favourite map ever, it just works for every match type in the game. I'll be a happy panda if it turns up as dlc in MW3.

Definately doesn't have anything close to the best selection of maps in "ANY" game. They are quite decent maps tho and probably overall they're better than the other CoD's on console (CoD4/CoD2 on PC ****s on em thanks to modding). Any number of PC games that allow modding and custom maps also has a far better selection of maps.

But yeah.. for anyone that has only ever really played CoD, then i can see where you came from with that one.

Its a shame that a great game isn't made on sound and graphics alone (They were good at the time.. i wouldn't say great on either front tho). If there are horrible game mechanics in a game that the developer won't fix then imo its nothing more than an almost good game. It was fun when i first started playing.. but honestly going back to it now... well, i'd rather grind my nuts on a cheese grater tbh.

I think MW2 still looks better than most newer fps multiplayer games, its the 60fps that makes it, Crysis 2 looked loved but was really clunky when moving, sure theres gltiches, graphical shortcuts and low textures but its the fluidity of the engine that makes up for it. I think its the best looking of the COD games by far, and the sound is unreal, every gun has a wallop to it unlike Blops peashooters. its such a pity it had crappy support post release, IW and Activision have horrible after sales support for their games, one thing I will give Treyarch is they genuinely listened to a lot of customer feedback (except for 2nd chance and ghost pro :pac: ) and acted accordingly. wonder how different a game MW2 would have been if IW hadnt fallen apart, hope West and Zampella make a killer app with their new title, COD needs to be taken off its online fps throne and who better to do it than the guys who are responsible for so much of its success.

Don't agree with it being better looking, i'll keep it to console only but.. Killzone 3/ Resistance 3 / Halo:reach / BF3 + BC2 are all better looking FPS MP games imo. I actually can't think of any besides MW3 + maybe homefront that MW2 is better graphically than. 60 FPS does make a big difference but only if your on xbox or PS3.

Pre-release is far more important than post, having awful mechanics like OMA/Commando/Laststand etc are not really things that you can patch up with a bandaid after release. If it was that easy im pretty sure treyarch would have done mroe about second chance and ghost(Since so many people complained about it).

I've played enough to get a good idea of what's out there.
Started out on cod4 and I've picked up anything worth playing since then and a few from before.

I'm not saying MW2 was a perfect game,it's a clusterf**k of bulls**t and I don't bother with any cod game anymore but I got my money's worth a hundred times over out of it,never before or since did I put in even half as much time into a game.
I could live with the problems because of how good it was when things were going well.

Mw2 had awesome maps. Nothing on RFoM though :P
