my ping on vent would go from 52 to 12500, or a few thousand at least.

i thought it was just my modem.

i was gona ring them today to shout for a bit.

yeah i had a good go at them there last night the e-mail was a great rant but the cherry on top was the jpegs i sent with the email . there mostly screen caps of my speed test but i threw in a number of pictures like some guy taking a dump in the woods childish i know but at this stage im just sick of it

Being a mod and all I should be fairly mature, but **** it. It's a rant thread afterall.

**** IW, seriously **** them. Stupid cheap ****. They pissed on COD2 and shat on COD4. I'm sick of going on about my broadband at home.
Tbf I never have near half the problems with EA servers, Resistance, Killzone, Gran Turismo Prologue, Motorstorm, GTA IV, Battlefield, etc, etc, etc. No constant problems connecting to servers, lag and all that. Maybe the odd time but it's quite rare. COD4 was bearable for the most part too except for Ground War. This all despite my worthless crappy Eircom connection.

But with this damn game it's near impossible for me to play anything. It's progressively gotten worse over time too.

Playing with leeg and headshot. Go 8 and 0 within a minute on Skidrow. BHAM! Lag. Completely unplayable and just quit not long after. Joke.

Intervention locks on to enemies automatically for christ sake. I dont use the Intervention for precisely this point. I still have to stay hidden so I can continue to snipe . . . . . . . you know, the way ACTUAL snipers do.

You must quickscope. Its not a talent. The game does it all for you. All you have to do is hit the trigger and fire buttons fast. I can do it with my eyes closed. Skill my arse. If it was difficult to do I would call it a talent. 8 Year olds can AND do quickscope. So that doesnt wash pal.

No, I don't quickscope. I can (not extremely well) There is talent in there, whether you wish to admit it or not. Just because a prepubescent teen can do it does not mean it doesn't require practice and skill.

If it was a case of "hit the trigger and fire" everyone would be doing it and please don't come back saying "everyone is doing it" - Because they're not.

Called over to my mate the other day , his 13 yr old was playing mw2 with all his 13 yr old buddies , sensitivity at 10, quick-scoping like a mutha -fuker ,and there was no skill in what he was doing, i asked him why was he quick-scoping and not hard-scoping and making sure of the kill, he said hard-scoping is for noobs , the game ended he went 13-30 , i told thats a noob score if ever i saw one

i posted this in the vid section a while back , there is skill in what this lad does.Quick-scoping is skillfull when its done right.
