I dont camp or snipe much , have only just started using the Intervention recently, but the two biggest annoyances in the game are commando using kids and noobers with danger close, they're both as bad as each other. I was playing a TDM the other night on Terminal and a teammate was running through the bookshop in front of me, and a guy who was stood on the counter in it commando'ed him from a good 6-7 feet away, he teleported from the counter to the entrance on the long glass walkway side, say whatever you want about the connection or this and that perk, but thats just ludicrous. That guy who got killed had a 4 bar connection as well, so did a few other people so I'm not sure if he was hosting or not.

I know what your saying about it, fortunately i have a good connection and get to host alot , if i'm playing with my mates and i use commando pro , they usually have no problem taking me down if they see me coming, and vice versa, however if i'm hosting and someone has a 3 bar connection to me and using commando , he is a lot harder to put down than someone on 4 bar. Go figure.....

In a perfect world IW would have spent the money on dedicated servers and we'd all be on a more level playing field connection wise, but thanks to their sh1tty p2p and eircoms craptacular broadband I need eyes in the back of me noggin playing most nights :pac:

A mate of mine gets to host most nights . He uses commando pro and is impossible to kill ...........impossible I tell you . A host using commando pro is no different than a host drop shotting .........its bad form if you ask me

I keep being dumped onto them and they're just so, so, so bad

Yeah coming face to face with the host usually results in death, and many a time I've gotten a clear headshot on someone and missed or only got a hit marker as I'm a milisecond behind, for a game that relys so much on reaction time and accuracy its insane they it doesnt have dedicated servers, I doubt it'll be changed for Black Ops but we can hope.

uninstall the map pack from the game data folder I'd imagine, you've already paid for it so should be able to download it again free.

Treyarch are good at listening to their audience, so we can hope. But ultimately Activision are the ones who'll decide about dedicated servers. EA did it so maybe there's a chance??

Deleted the whole MW2 file from the Game Data folder and those ****ty maps are gone, whooooo hooooooo

Played utterly sh1te last night, couldnt find my form at all, I think getting your ass kicked on the first game you play sets up a streak of bad playing or something. I'm half tempted to remove the new maps myself, if i have to exit a lobby with Salvage one more time I'll scream, cant get into that map at all it has no structure, its a pity you cant pick your favourite maps and search for games based on them.
I like Overgrown and Storm but the other new ones I'm meh about. I had a game on Rundown last night and it must be the first time in a week one of the old maps came up in a lobby first.

Been on 2 yellow bars all night! At first I though I was being put in an American lobbies but it continued all night and is now flicking between 1 red and 2 yellow bars, Reset the modem there but seems to have done nothing, very annoying!

I've finally had it with MW2, as a COD fan from the Original COD, i'm afraid this will be the last time i play multiplayer in any COD from MW2 onwards.

Removing dedicated servers and mod tools from PC was enough, so i went to xbox to play with friends. But now, there's just too much shíte in the game, rocket launchers, 203's, stupid perks, akimbo guns and a whole host of other rubbish i'm just sick of the game.

I'm just sick to death of it, half considering trading it in.

It's not like i'm getting raped either, still getting nukes daily and stupid kdr's.

Might go back and play some Realism COD2 servers, make myself feel good.
Or COD4, which was quite possibly the best game i've ever played. They managed to balance the crap just right.

Yeah I'm starting to feel the same myself. Played quite a bit today and the whole ****ing game seems to revolve around campers, tubers and run-and-knifers.

I think I'll be avoiding Modern Warfare 3 also, I'm sure it's going to be an absolute joke.

There is "black ops" developed by Treyarch with is not a modern warefare game in fact IW own the modern warefare ip which activision are currently contesting in court.

I had a few games last night and there was about 6 or 7 of my friends in it. We were not in a party so we were getting split up for each game.
It was the most enjoyable few games I've had in ages because the games were not ruined by Toobers and Campers.
Just proper running and gunning....the way the game was meant to be played.

And tbh I don't really mind the campers coz its easy to get them and sometimes you have to camp a little if you're against Shammy otherwise he will rape you to bits !!!! Its the Toober queers that really get on my goat.

Given that the whole of Infinity Ward have basically walked out, I'd say it's safe to assume that it won't be the same developer next time. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Well you did say "its been written by a completley different company" ... this means it has already been done... which it hasnt... black ops has.

Poss what you meant was "it may be written by a different company" no? ????

Or perhaps you meant "its being written by a competely different company" implying that you belived black ops IS a modern warefare game.

Not really mate? A lot of people seem to be confusing black ops as a modern warefare game when its not tbh.
Only trying to clear up misinformation is all not a personal attack.

For the use of the word "been" its implied that a developer has already coded a call of duty :modern warefare game which as I said ..... a lot of people wrongly believe.

they said they already started it in the article ? in fact the main point of activisions counter suit is that IW heads where delaying the pre production so that had more leverage they also said that the case is now only stalling it. one way or another someone will make it . hardly going to be a king solomen case with something as big as this

and your coming across as really condescending towards shawpower whether intentionally or not so i can understand him being a little ticked off

Technically iw own the name mw , I also posted a while before the scandal between iw and activision , that it was rumoured that iw would not be making the next mw, lets not get confused with treyarch.

Considering the time it takes to make a game , and the fact that activision produce a cod game every year, there is definetly someone working on the game for 2011.
