Ha ha love it son, there's nothing wrong with dropping a claymore in the doorway of the door you've just come through as 5 times out of 10 there is someone following you. Got a Pavelow on Karachi last night with the scavenger+claymore combo. Works a treat on that map. Double kills are always nice !!

I'm sure I claymored you a few times last night pal. That's the interesting thing when we play on the same team most of the time, we know each others tactics on any particular map.... then.. if we are on separate teams, obviously you need to make a decision on whether to change tactics or set a trap - although you 'witched' through a few of my sweet claymores last night and stabbed me in the back.

you'd then get some points for a unattended kill

Assuming he was still around at that stage. When I was using scrambler pro I was quite comfortable standing in front of a claymore, shooting somebody and either running off or popping out the riot shield to take the blast.

there is someting to this claymore glitch , was playing last night and got killed by a guy who walked right up to the claymore and shot me in the back of the head. I watched the killcam and was so pissed off i had to turn the xbox off . IW has the cheek to bump up the price on this game and there is not but bugs all over this game. I feel this game might have to go to the trade in bin...... BF BC2 here I come.

Quick piece of advice for afterdeath kills from claymores - if you wait a few seconds after you're killed and don't respawn straight away, your claymore will stay there and can still get you a kill - I love hanging around to get payback if they came from another angle :D

Thats strange it could be a glitch.

Just because you use claymores doesnt mean you camp... the extreme anti campers are annoying me more than the campers themselves now...

I always use them and like placing them at hot spots where enemys run past often while i move onto somewhere else. An example is in Terminal at the tunnel to the airplane. At the start of every game i plant one at the small entrance from the ladder and it usually guarantees me, maybe even a double :P

Rundown is another handy map for them especially at that small bridge everyone rushes to at the start of the game. Claymores always get me a few kills each game and there's nothing sweeter than seeing a random 100 pop on your screen just as your anxiously waiting for 1 more kill to get a kill streak :D

Was wondering about that the last night Jev/N! i killed some fella and presumed his claymore would disappear so i ran towards but it went off and killed me! Was raging so i was! :pac:

I was wondering last night all right about the claymore's THey were blowing up all right but I seemed to be immune to them. Maybe it was just luck and i was far enough away but it did seem like they got me less than usual

EDIT: Actually, I'm wondering. Someone left an abusive message on my account yday accusing me of lag cheating - which I'm not. Conversely I thought someone else was lag cheating the day before. As I said in another thread I thought they had tweaked the graphics. Now I'm wondering if they have tried to tweak the collision detection/graphics to cut down on the amount of apparent lagging and in doing so have actually just hidden lag delays better ?

How could you have been sure it was his. Might have been put down by someone else.

+1 not quick respawning if you're using claymores. Especially if you're killed at close quarters and you're someway close to your mine. Its a high percentage kill and I think its around 150-175 xp for the aftermath kill.

Flash bangs and stun grenades, actually disable claymores for a few seconds. You will see sparks coming out of the claymore.

Already replied to say thanks for that piece of advice. But thought I'd update to say I put into immediate use last night.

I was playing Terminal, and after killing one guy in the tunnel to the plane, I put down a claymore and walked into the plane itself. Guy had run up the emergency chute and blew me away with Akimbo 1887's. I was about to click to respawn, when this tip came to mind. Delayed for about 2-3 seconds, and then upcomes 250XP; Payback. Kill after death message.

Sweeeeeet!!! Cheers mate. I'll be using this regularly from now on.

My assumption is that this doesn't count towards any kill streak since you are effectively not ingame at the time. (Just me being extra greedy!!)

Nice. I usually wait a few seconds before respawning, always watch killcam, but this is a clear example of how it could be of benefit to wait.

I think its always worthwhile watching the killcam. Others who don't bother and respawn immediately (I know a few who do it), are losing a potential edge.

Maybe. sometimes there is good reason to respawn quick - like when you know where people are and want to get back into it before they move too much.

Me too. But only long enough to see where they were, and to see what kind of class they are running. That can be done often in less that a second. Whereas I consciously waited for at least 3-4 seconds, if not more, because I knew he was heading in the direction of where I left my Claymore. CLICK. BOOM! :)

Yeah, if the guy is deep into your team's spawn area, this can be key. As in, if you are on Afghan say. You and most of your team are in the Poppyfields, when you get killed. If you respawn quickly, it's going to put you close to the same area, because it sees it as a safezone with your team there. A quick respawn here gives you a huge "revenge" advantage because you know exactly where the guy is, while he presumes his flank is still clear because it was before you died.

That's the danger/risk of being a "lone wolf" and being deep in enemy spawn. People tend to give out about the spawn system without realising that a lot of the time it is because of their own strategies. That said, sometimes it is just broken.

Not a bad idea. I'll charge $1 for membership! LoL

You're to blame btw!! I was completely blissfully unaware of the whole COD4 onling gaming scene, until you really strongly suggested I get the game. So I firmly lay blame for my addiction at your door!!

The reason behind my "thinking about the game" is basically that since I was so crap at the start, never having played online before, I really tried hard to figure out how to get up to speed asap.
