We had some decent free for all games over the weekend. I started horribly (not used to FFA as rarely play it) but improved as time went by.

Nice to have a bit of banter and not have to worry about glitchers/boosters.

Anybody fancy a private tournament at some stage?

Given you are likely to win them back, it's hardly too generous an offer! ;)

When I know people's names, I'm more likely to indulge in more banter. (Replies simply telling me my guess was wrong with regards your name don't help much!!) :D

Is it worth the OP starting a list in the opening post? That way people don't have to search the whole thread for GT's?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,914 ✭✭✭✭tbh

no problems for me - might be handier for everyone so long as:

    1. Everyone knows that putting your GT up here may mean that other readers may add you and

    2. People don't have a problem with people they don't know (except through here) inviting them or asking for invites.

    I've created a page here: http://wiki.boards.ie/wiki/CAll_Of_Duty

edit the page and add your GT if you want to be included.

edit if you can't edit the wiki page, PM me and I'll do it for you.

"x AZZ KICK3R x" you Shammy? Great player got to say. Had a K/D of something like 16/22 in Terminal and you killed me at least 15 of the times! Never get my K/D beyond 0.85 with lads like you around :)

I notice lately any decent player I meet in FFA or TDM seem to be Irish. Apart from those two muppets from Sligo who I caught boosting several times (something Flaunge was his nick) Sunday night.

Suppose didn't help me walking into your bullets! Seriously must have been at least 10 deaths

My xbox live kept crashing out last night. Really annoying, especially when you're doing well.

Quick Tip. Wait until after the killcam finishes each time you die.

I find from watching people who get scores like that, or from experience when I'm having a bad game, the tendency is to run off immediately looking for revenge/kills after getting killed. This more often than not means you are rushing into situtations where you end up getting killed again, as you have no real advantage in the scenario.

Instead, take a little time after dying and chill out for a few seconds. Have a look at the map to see where your team are, or where some red dots are either. Work out a general plan for the next minute or two based on where the action should be from the minimap. If you can last a few minutes, and get a few kills, in general you're doing well and building a killstreak. And that is the real target of TDM matches. Build a killstreak to boost your score (and the teams).

The killcam isn't really important to the process, but it means you've had an extra second or two to calm down a bit and will approach the next part of the game in a better state. I'm not saying to do this all the time, but certainly try it a bit if you have gotten picked off 2-3 times in a row without a kill.

It might be complete hoccum, but maybe try it for a few games. The idea is to get crafty with your actions rather than rushing into situations where you don't know what is ahead of you.

Thanks Shawpower, I think it was just last night and the fact I'm using perks and guns I'm not used to in order to get XP. I'm no level 40 now after prestiging.
I revert back to the P90 with slight of hand pro and stopping power pro when i want a positive K/D ratio!

The Famas is my favourite weapon. Using stopping power it's easy to get kills.
