    Just to update... I know it's a long time hence... I brought said date to Canal Bank Cafe, and it was fantastic! Really thick slices of ham, and eggs apparently were perfectly done. Mr Date was chuffed, thus was a successful first date... it was followed by unfortunate subsequent dates but they weren't Canal's fault!

    Thanks to everyone who shared their opinions!

    Juniors of Ballsbridge.

    Both excellent places, but with St. Benedict I think Juniors has the edge. It's just extra special there.
