Another very impressive performance from this Clare group of players!

Just wondering, who is the west Clare player on the team?

Conor Cleary from Miltown Malbay. Plays his hurling with Kilmaley.

He has not played for the Clare U21s this year but was the Clare Minor Centre-Back last year.

Malone is from Ennistymon too. Not a hurling stronghold.

I presume that the losers of the losers group games will be involved in the relegation playoffs but what happens to the losers of the winners group games i.e if Kilkee lose to Doonbeg are they out of the championship?

Ya the losers of the losers group will be involved in the relegation playoffs.

Not 100% sure but i think the losers of the winners group will play the winners of the losers group.

Losers of the winners group will not be knocked out of the championship anyway and will have a 2nd chance.

Great win for the lads last night. Beating Tipp in Thurles was no mean feat but they showed typical skill and verve and look good now going into the Galway game. The winners of that should go all the way.

The ref was very poor last night though, silly soft frees given all night. Seadna Morey could have walked too.

Seadna did walk in the last minute. Ref was awful imo. Soft frees all over the place and did'nt allow the play to develop to any great extent. More interested in hearing his whistle:rolleyes:.

Yeah but the pull down on the Tipp wing forward was very dangerous play. Pat Horgan walked for less against Limerick.

The penalty given against Morey was harsh, a booking it certainly wasn't. Still the game was over then. I thought Tipp should have got a pen earlier but Clare got a free out.

Tipp centre back, who played well, went to ground very easily and was rewarded by the ref on 3 occasions that were dubious.

In fairness there is no hurling played north of corofin either much like west Clare. There was a few attempts made at underage teams back when i was a young lad but there was never the same interest as with football and the teams struggled for numbers, Pity really because i always prefered the small ball :D

Ya they tried it with us in primary school and a couple of lads were handy but the rest of us were terrible! Afraid that the big ball always ruled back west

Would Tubber not fall into the banner of North Clare??

I spose it would Hidalgo. Your still left with Kilfenora, lliscannor, doolin, lisdoonvarna, ballyvaughan, carron and new quay/bellharbour where there is little to no hurling played. That accounts for the most of north Clare id say.

Wins tonight for KIB over Liscannor, O'Curry's over Shannon Gaels and Eire Og over Doora Barefield

I can't believe it either.:) Very good display by Clare today. Never in danger and extremely mature in their application.

Limerick had a poor manager and failed to improve in every game they played, unlike davy who learned and made brave calls. And unlike allen who says dont fix what aint broken, but prevention is better than a cure.

Clare didnt believe the crazy hype ,and knew limerick were an ordinary side under allen.Ye were the better hurling team, and should have won by more.A great way to go to a final.Congrats to a superb display.

Some fantastically stylish hurlers in that Clare team and I am delighted ye have gotten to an AI final.

Allen is a long way from a being a poor manager, ridiculous to even suggest that.

All part of the plan, we let the limerick lads talk about the final on boards as if they had already beaten us. Hard to stop that seeping into players mindsets.

Dont be trying any of that typical cork cuteness;) Cork are raging hot favorites having beaten Clare already, sur clare are only happy to be there to make up the numbers with our young team and headless manager:D;)

Ps limerick supporters were a credit to county today.

He wont win an all ireland with limerick.Lost two promotions finals with limerick and got lucky in the munster champ, with two home games and cork down to 14.With full strength panel.

He inherited a cork team in fairness.I think as shown today he was well beaten on the sideline and it happened before.

He said Galway were all wrong during the week and how they should have beaten clare.

He didnt do so good himself when he had the chance. He picked the wrong team, and i said this during the week.
Im gutted for limerick as it would have been great to see them in the final.

Clare have some seriously classy hurlers. Tony kelly could be the next shefflin. He was absolutely outstanding yesterday.

;-)no 5 to 6 in the bookies and clare want revenge, once bitten twice shy ,they will be hard to beat.

Should be a great game now.

well done to Clare on reaching the AI Final.

ye have improved with every game this year,
and ye have being playing some lovely hurling.
Its great for the county of Clare and for the sport of hurling

Ah we will try and give cork a game;).
Hopefully the game is decided on the pitch and no stupid red cards. Main thing is that clare give a good account of themselves and perform as there is always the risk that they do a limerick and freeze.
Cork advantage is that are used to the clare gameplan (even if it has been improved since the last meeting) and have superb freetakers + tradition .
Clare advantage is that they are more likely to get goals, full of speed/running and that croke park seems to suit them.
Both teams are comfortable in possession so i cant see corks players hoofing/clearing ball aimlessly like galway/limerick did.
    Advantage cork

It was some performance by the lads, delighted for Davy,he gets way too much stick from within and without the county..What is more,I don't think they have peaked either..Cork will be very tough, they'll take their points from long range all day..
