ok can we use these as provisional figures and get a few games going? maybe people directly below and above one another will play each other and the winner will trade places with the loser or if the winner is already on top his position will remain unchanged.

if you play someone who is further than one place ahead of you and you win the most placess you can move up is 2... the losers position remains unchanged and only changes if they lose to a person directly underneath them...

The links to each game should be posted here and when the game is completed a link to the completed game should also be posted with the result/outcome of the game?

if you already have rules written out im sorry for writing all this.

I started already challenging fretfret, in case that affects your organising.

if we got 12 players maybe we could play a tournament. each player plays each other and whoever wins the most is boards champion 2010 :rolleyes:

Leave it for a week to see if some more of the players from the last league want to play. Probably ladder format at first would be better, then maybe if we get enough players playing regularly we could start a tournament.

These are my suggestions of rules, wat say j00?

• 1 day time-out (Issues regarding claiming wins as in last league - basically don't be ghey about claiming it, give them a chance if possible)
• 0 day timebank
• You can play a max of 3 games per week
• You may challenge people placed at most 4 places above you
• Playing colour should be selected randomly (RHP has this option)
• You can decline a game if:
• *Outside the range
• *No free slots
• *Certain circumstances like vacation etc.

If:

• The higher placed person loses, then the players exchange position
• The higher placed person wins, no position change

Ill keep a table and update it on the thread at least once a week. Everything needs to be reported in the thread too, timeouts, challenges, wins/losses, whether people declined etc.

Maybe we should make it 2 days without timebank. because sometimes i make a move in the morning, and if i dont make a move the next morning (sometimes i move in the night, sometimes in the morning) then i will be timed out for being a couple of hours late. i think if you dont make your move within 2 days it is fair enough to claim the win that way though

so it is nummnutts - 1103 is the last person to be added to the list by rating and all after that should come from the bottom and working their way up in playing people in four places ahead of them (if they are good enough)

I'd vote for a 2 day time out also, specially with weekends and the like.
Not saying that I don't trust folk to be lenient with the claiming of the win; but I'd prefer the extra days grace there.

Aside from that all looks good!
Will there be a limit on how soon after we can challenge someone if/when we lose to them?

I was going to add something along these lines but the ladder is quite small so I don't know if its a good idea.

ok lets get this thing rolling... i am going to challenge the maximum amount of players allowed ( 3 ) all of which are ahead of me and within the 4 place maximum... i am placed 7th at the moment so these are the players i will challenge... i will pick random colour and 3 days per move with no timeout, as this is actually the closest available to the 2 day timeout... i will post the links to the 3 games here after they have been accepted (or not accepted)

other people should start accepting chalenges as well so we can get this thing rolling...
if new people want to enter, leave your rating on the forum and it can be added to the ladder as soon as possible so that you may accept challenges....

I've challenged Fartmaster and am also playing fretfret, there's no option for 2 day timeout so it'll be 3 days with no timebank. I move everyday anyway so makes no difference to me this will be fun!

I sincerely hope you're joking about being an FM... My friend is an FM and he is way too good for this ladder, FM's are generally between 2200-2400, which is a very good rating.

Anyway I'll do my best.

Not too late at all, as far as I know folk enter at the bottom of the ladder so just throw a few challenges out to people within 4 places of you.
