    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has bought a scope through companies like eurooptic.com, how you found them to deal with and what the chance of customs duties would be?
    thanks

Yeah, I spoke to the boss there, Alex Roy last friday about an export cert, and i am just waiting to here back about stumping up the cash.:D

Just for info the scope is a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 Silver Rapid Z 800 and is costing $600 plus i think it is $60 shipping.
Have not read a bad review about it yet.

i've saved alot over the years but only when sent USPS post, 50/50 chance of customs having a look at it. i just lately paid out for a winch that i bought in the states but i still made a saving...

i've saved alot over the years but only when sent USPS post, .........

+1 on that. The variety and most importantly the price difference. Have used USPS all the time. Quick enough, reliable and cheaper than most with no loss of service.

I get 2 or 3 trips out to Minnesota every year with work and always have a monster shopping list for Cabelas, haven't bought any fishing or hunting gear over here in years. It's scary the savings you can make on stuff, especially clothing (no clothes tax in MN), you can't look at quality clothing here. Was last over in July last year and got Simms waders and gore tex wading jacket, paid approx half of what it would have cost here. Even things like a Harris bi-pod, 120euro in my local gun shop and got them for $69. Will get out again in March, hope the euro holds up against the dollor.

I've had a very good experience with Scott from www.theriflescopestore.com. He stocks Zeiss, Nikon, Bushnell and Leupold etc etc. He's very accomodating over the phone and payments are strictly through the site. Shipping was through USPS's equivalent of express post and is just as quick as a courrier for a fraction of the cost.
