    Loving this blog Avant Style

    Hey girls,

    Here is mine : http://ballsbridgespot.blogspot.com

    http://www.anouskaproettabrandon.com/

I think Anouska is great. She posts from time to time in the "What did you wear today?" thread, well, she used to at least! It seems like she's worked her ass off to get to where she is today. Recently she won the award for 'Ireland's most influential model' and she's bringing out her own collection soon! I do really enjoy her blog.

Anouska is so nice in person and is genuinely just interesting, i'd second the above recommendation to read her stuff!

I like Anoushka's ! Starting with her name which is really pretty and her blog is really nicely made. It's clear and her outfits are really pretty. I think it comes along with the territory considering she works in the business.

I also like another blog http://www.mariannan.com/. She's not Irish at all, but I find her extremely pretty and she seems more reachable than Anouska (no offense but Anoushka seems like the type of girl that you like to admire because of her clothes but you'd be too impressed or intimidated to go and talk to).
Marianna seems more like the girl next door. But that's besides the point since she's not Irish.

As someone above said, many Irish girls can't dress ! That's a fact. To be honest a lot of them have a deadful sense of fashion. They dress either too short or too bright or clothes don't match each other. There's no offense, it's just a pure statement of the reality. However some Irish girls I bumped into in Dublin can dress properly.

Nonetheless, there are two types of girls in Dublin, I don't know about the rest of Ireland - Those who can't dress at all and think they're fashionable - And those who dress " all American apparel/underground/edgy " and look down on you if you don't dress the same way. There's no in-between.

Do you think that's slightly too generalised? I understand some of your point, we (the lovely ladies of ireland) can sometimes tend towards fashion over style, but I still love it! Even if I can't admire how well say a jumpsuit suits someone, I can still admire their chutzpah for wearing the damn thing.

Fashion and style are both so subjective, what I think is amazing may bore you to (sartorial) death and likewise.

I think the scariness or otherwise of some of our best fashion bloggers is just perceived, take the Sue from sosueme.ie, she's skinny, gorgeous and cool so you'd think she'd be terrifying but she's actually a total sweetheart. I've never met Anouska but I'm sure she's the same.

At the end of the day we're all just wearing things to make us feel happy no?

I may have exaggerated a little bit by putting everybody in the same box. My vision was too simplistic, and of course, fashion is something very subjective. It's all about personality and what you feel confident wearing.

However, some people tend to go a bit over the top thinking it's fashionable when it's actually not (Gotta admit that applies to me also). I get that everyone has their own fashion sense, but still. But I reckon that fashion disasters are not just a " proper " irish situation, those happen in every country.

Well .. at the end of the day, no one is entitled to be a fashion dictator. So who cares ? If people feel confident in what they're wearing, that's all that matters.

Please don't sign off posts with a link to your blog. It was addressed within the What Did You Wear thread, but is not on the front page, I will edit that now. It's annoying and is spamming.

You can upload pics to www.photobucket.com or www.tinypic.com and then post the code. For more clarification, please PM me.

I've already expressed my joy to see you blogging again! Long may it continue.

My blog isn't strictly fashion, mainly focussed on my interest in arts and culture, particularly Irish arts.
