you cant blame the reps and the council for not solving every little problem thats brought to them in fairness. its 50/50.
for every small thing someone wants fixed, it puts back progress on a bigger problem.

as regards to a change machine, as i said before this has been brought up and suggested by reps and currently being looked into. its the only alternative campus services would agree to consider.

the thing that wrecks my head about the WIT card is that those of us doing adult education have to pay €15 for a card... what a rip!!! Im paying like €4k for a course and they wont even give me a stinking card!!! its a disgrace!

ive refused to buy one... and ive sat 3 sets of exmas and never once been pulled up on not having one... which i find weird since in UL if u didnt have a card out for your exams you were sent to the admin office to get a letter to say you are who you say you are.

Cos when you're going to lunch with your friends and are in a rush, you all have time to get to a computer to top up online! And before you say it, the top up computer in the Gallery has never been working anytime I went to use it! Not having a go at ya Dan, just think you weren't looking at the whole picture!

Maybe we are different, but I prefer to have my money in a way I can spend it wherever I like i.e. not on my WITcard, so I only top up when I am going to spend it. Judging by the queues between classes and especially at one o clock in the Well, most of WIT do likewise!

If we could withdraw money from the card - then I would have no problem putting a bit of money on at the start of the week. But there are times when I am short of cash and its all on my WITCard, so I tend to put smaller amounts in when needed. Even if it is a pain!

But it is an absolute pain when there's money on the card and none in your wallet!

Minto put 20 quid on a monday see how long its lasting you should know what you are buying like. I'm sure in four years in the college you have a pattern of where you get food and a rough approximate guess of the cost.

Not many know this, but the top up machine in the library accepts smaller coins, i dont think it accepts copper or maybe not 10c but definately the rest.

Also find the Q aint too bad in the library.


Sasha please stop complaining, we have all been in sh*tty inconveniant situations like you with your 60c, just learn from it and be better prepared the next time. I don't think you need to complain and call for an overhaul of an otherwise excellent system. Also you can top up your WIT card via your mobile, something called mobiload I love my WIT card

Just a heads up. If your WITCard is not working for the library and WITCard Office are looking for you to buy a new one then you should go into the WITSU office and speak to a sabbatical officer. They will be able to get a replacement card for you at no extra cost.
