Your ideal physique

So I guess all of us are getting fit for various reasons and some of us I'm sure have an idea of the type of physique they'd like to have.

I remember reading some sort of motivational piece that said to pick a physique of some famous person that you admire and try to picture yourself with that physique and use that to keep your motivation going.

I know that has it's downsides as well. It's very easy to become obsessive and perfectionist but at the same time, I think it can help.

For me. the guys with the ideal physiques are Randy Orton, John Morrisson and Tom Welling (Smallville).

Randy Orton (in the middle here)

    John Morrison

    Tom Welling

I'd say, out of all of them, Tom Welling's would be the easiest one to achieve and maintain. He seems to be in good shape, with some definition. The other two lads, I'd say you'd have to spend 24 hours a day in the gym and eat super super strict as well.

Tom Welling is very acheivable. I reckon a good few people posting here are in equal or better shape, myself included.

I think I'd be happy to get my physique resembling his. Maybe with a tiny bit more definition although to be honest, with my current look, if I got exactly like him, I'd be more than happy.

I have to say, I always assumed - irrationally I suppose! - that the WWE stars were probably not in as a good shape as they look on tv in real life....

Well I brought my daughter n her pals to the O2 to see the wrastlin' and f*ck me purple those guys are RIPPED!!

The first bout was a 10-man royal rumble thing. Every bloke in there silently resolved to hit the ab-roller hard when they got home.

Aye, I was at the O2 as well to see it and Orton and Morrison are as ripped in real life as they appear on TV. F***** b*****rds :D

I'll gladly have Pauline Nordin's figure...

or Monica Brant. Failing that going back to how I looked at the end of 8 weeks of a semi-cut diet in 2007 would do nicely.

ack... still, if I do decide to get up on stage next year I'll be throwing up photos all over the place :D The scary thing is that I was still a good 5% bodyfat away from being competition ready in these photos :o

Naturally. Probably a Louboutin. It'll help you guage bodyfat, hio-to-waist ratio and BMI in one fell swoop. Baseball shoes are so early noughties.

Very disappointed Stoitsov's yet to get a mention....

Failing that, somewhere around 2007 levels of leaness and 2009 levels of muscularity would do nicely. I'm working hard on it!

Actually if I had a body like this at his age (minus the make up etc.) I'd not complain at all. Can't find any better pictures than this.

Well I'll stay closer to home. If I can get anywhere near the physique that Transform has, then I will be more than happy. I would then go on maintenance for ever :)

A Female athlete who I think has a great physique is Jess Ennis (UK Heptathlete)

g'em: WOW, You look pretty amazing in your pics if I may say so.

If you want real inspiration look no further than Vince Regan from 300 - the amount of blood sweat and tears that he must have put into his training - he lost 40 lbs and got his deadlift from 205 to 355.

I don't really look at anyone and wish to be like that.

Just over two years ago I went through a major personal crisis in my life and took my eye off the ball, and while I didn't drop out of Judo I was uncompetitive, drinking a lot and eating horribly, so I put on a belly.

I've been back training since January, but seriously dieting since June.

In June I competed at 126kgs and have dropped 16kgs since (although three weeks ago I got my weight up to 116kgs to fight at +100kgs.

My goal is just to get back to where I was, best photo I have is this one from my last holiday in Majorca...

    attachment.php?attachmentid=98326&stc=1&d=1260227940

Realistically I'm about eight to ten weeks off it.

I'll be happy and content then.

I said it last time, I'll say it this time:

Don't let the scales fool you. The amount of water weigh missing there is huge, plus its an old photo he is bigger now, doesn't go down to 167 thats for sure.
