Well that's what they made last transfer. We'll know in a few days if the increase in plc is reflected in the old shares for the next transfer

I see the Kerry Shares hit é41 today - What would the rate be for the old shares now??

I know you can get around 80 for Kerry co op shares but I have seen an ad where people are asking for 100. Would be good if you can wait to see if there is another conversion. I think there are some meetings coming up soon

why sell shares in a company which promises to deliver strong growth going forward ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭tommylimerick

their divident is poor at about 1 %
and i doubt they will go up any more
a lot of farmers might only have shares in kerry
and these farmers are exposed enough to food prices
so at least selling the plc shares might make a lot of sense

kerry plc shares are up more than 40% in the past eighteen months , they may not go up anymore this year and may in fact pull back but the company has very strong growth potential going forward , as for the company being exposed to food price fluctuation , so is mc donalds but for different reasons , over time strong companies should see an increased share price , they say people should stick to what they know so i think it makes sense for any dairy farmer in ireland to have a decent sized share portfolio of kerry and glanbia , if you milk eighty cows but cannot afford ( for various reasons ) to go to 150 , another way of profiting from dairying is to be invested in the likes of kerry and glanbia

id wait for a pullback to buy though

Last I heard about 1 month ago - €75-€125 depending on quantity - smaller quantities making bigger money.

There are discussions within the advisory and board groups as to what is the best way to go forward.

There is a fair level of support for a conversion to below 10%, especially after the last 2 years of poor weather.

Also, it's quite surprising to see support for a conversion from individuals who i wouldn't have thought would be in support of it.

NAMA related in a few cases, i believe:(

it would be great if they liqudated all the old coop shares this year for plc shares i wonder if they did how many plc shares would we get for 1 coop share when all this is done

that wont happen any time soon what would the board of the co op do than , The co op shares must be fairly valuable not at this stage with the price of plc shares.

well the advisory board members wont want to vote themselves out anyway with all the holidays etc and are powerless anyway
but this structure will have to be changed and a new company will have to be set up for all milk suppliers and kerry coop ltd to be finally wound down and past and present suppliers be rewarded in full

Highly unlikely - with the new board structure plus the recent conversion will mean a cooling on the conversion - co-op shares don't seem to trading as widely at present. But if this bad weather continues then this could change.

donedeal is no place to go trading kerry shares plenty of chancers on there with a few pound willing to buy these shares off of vulnerable people that are short of cash if i had to sell a few i would put an add with a box number in the local paper ie kerryman or the kingdom and see what kind of offers that come in dont give them away you would want to be getting 150 a share anyway.

I heard there is just one final share exchange coming up when transferred to plc shares at today's prices could be worth 400 euro or more so l wouldn't sell just yet.
