That is, of course, in addition to the links you posted, some of which I read.
Online resources are great, provided you then converse with more experienced riders, get their input, hear what they have to say... then decide to ignore it or use it to supplement what you have already learned.

I've been talking with a few different riders about what to do for winter training. Opinions have differed. Based on all the input, I've chosen to do a plan which I think might work for me.

As for road-bike fit, some people have told me that it's good to get a professional fit. Then I was in a reputable bike shop and I was advised that what you get from them is, at best, an estimate of what might be good for you, since they are not seeing you out on your bike on the road in a race or a sportive and that it's not worth it. They are not my words.

sorry nearest clubs are basically at least an hours drive in any direction (except west then you get wet) and i'd rather spend that hour riding rather than driving

Estimate your Power from Speed?

I don't think it's very accurate, or at least assumes a perfect aero position.

Came across this today, have a tacx t1450 myself but was thinking off getting the tacx flow for the power feature. Think I'll put the purchase off a little while and try this. Easy to make, revive my old laptop and try.

I know the power reading won't be exact but it's something to relate to doing intervals. Pity it only has 7 resistance levels built in as my trainer has 10.

edit, I see mine is the t1850 hence 10 levels
