This photo represents the first moment that the British Goverment had to face up to their many miscarriages of justice that they were guilty of.

The Iranian Embassy Siege of 1980 was a siege of the Iranian embassy in London after it had been taken over by Iranian Arab separatists. The siege was ended when British special forces, the Special Air Service (SAS), stormed the building in Operation Nimrod. The incident brought the SAS to the world's attention as the whole episode was played out in front of the media.

    Who is this guy?
    A dead Che Guevara.

Of course done by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick
    Never profited from that piece

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted as yet - famous photo taken by Robert Capa. His name was Federico Borrell García and he was fighting on the Republican side against franco. The photo captures the moment of his death.

That pic is now believed to have been staged.

Can he not sue the people making T-Shirts etc?

I'm looking for a picture that I saw on a LC English Mock Paper around 2001 of a flooded street somewhere in Asia (I think?). The picture shows just a hand above the surface of the flood water holding a pitcher of (presumably) water.

Does anyone recognise the description given? Would love to get my hands on it.

    Thanks.

Going by the link in the other post - he doesn't want any money from it.
Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick says he wants his iconic image of Che Guevara to become a money spinner. However, Fitzpatrick (above) says he doesn't want to profit from the image...
Along with signing over the copyright of his Che image to the William Soler Pediatric Cardiology Hospital in Havana, Fitzpatrick says he wants to gift the original artwork to the Che Guevara Lynch archive run by his widow, Aleida March.

Did you see the film? Remarkable.
    Remarkably dull overpraised film.

its a bit odd that a communist revolutionary ends up as a capitalist brand.

Yea, I'm aware theres debate about that but it's all really inconclusive and the truth is that we will probably never really know.

To me this is what real and actual evil looks like.

Roy Whiting, paedo who murdered sarah payne pictured at his arrest and again after a few years in prison.
The mask has dropped and the monster beneath is revealed.

The difference between those two photos is incredible. The first he looks so respectable and the second one, he is barely more than rabid beast.

    Shocking isn't it.

Dont think its been posted already, but this picture sticks out in my mind more than the pictures of the devastation.

    omagh_imminent.jpg

The chilling photograph was found by investigators in a camera buried in the rubble after the Omagh Bombing, the picture was taken in the minutes before the bomb exploded, clearly showing the red car - with its deadly hidden cargo - beside dozens of oblivious civilians
