    Equally affecting and funny.
His mom's suicide is some hardcore material to riff on.

    Edit: from another clip:
"pranks that happened to be felonies" is a great line.

Its the funny mixed in with real life tragedy that works, I love his fathers retelling of his conception story "So we start getting it on, but its your mother so I'm palming a blade..."

Greg Giraldo - He does the lyrics on the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJeNok-lTEw - Lazy Boy ::: Underwear Goes Inside The Pants

David Cross - An Open Letter to Larry the Cable Guy (1 of 2)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDimQTJMjB0

Used to love Dylan Moran, not so keen on the latest show I've seen tho.

    Groucho Marx
    Tommy Cooper
    Harry Enfield
    Bill Bailey

Can't stand Neil Delamere. His voice is irritating. He's like someone who is confident enough to be on TV,and has studied lots of comedians in order to come up with quick witted lines, but has nothing new or original. He's not a natural.A true comedian is one who can almost make you laugh by just looking at them. Not this guy.

    Mitch Hedberg ♥

I think Frankie Boyle is deadly and got tickets for one of his show's in Vicar Street as a Valentine's gift for my boy.
    He'll be thrilled.

I've never liked him on telly but i saw him live once and he was really good. Maybe its because he's always stuck behind a desk or or he can't curse but he looks at bit awkward and uncomfortable on tv.

Best stand up for me are Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Dylan Moran, Dara O'Briain, Eddie Izzard (old stuff more than new), Ed Byrne (sorry everybody :P) Bill Bailey and Demitri Martin

Stewart Lee is absolutely genius, extremely intelligent and manipulates the crowd like no other

Search 'Stewart Lee-identity' and watch him at his best. Hilarious stuff

Jimmy Carr is very funny if you like his type of humour

Despise Lee Evans, jumping around the stage doesn't make you funny.Very rarely makes me laugh or even smile

Like Billy Connolly, specially his earlier stuff

Love Hicks, although don't find him that hilarious. I find I just watch him and agree with nearly everything he say's. Way ahead of his time

    In no particular order!

    Billy Connolly
    Frankie Boyle
    Michael McIntyre
    Chris Rock
Andrew Maxwell (sorry I know it's a bit controversial, but he was brill in when I saw him in vicar st)
    PJ Gallagher
John Bishop (seen him in Ivy Gardens last year really liked him)
Jason Byrne (kinda, not sure if I always like him)
Dylan Moran (love black books as well)
    Bill Bailey
    Omid Djaly
Some Iranian girl can't remember her name but love her on comedy store!
    Al Murray

I'm sure the list is longer but can't think of others!!
