Supposed to be 24Mb NGB. It it 5pm though, but that shouldn't matter, should it? Pings are nice though.

Can someone explain to me how, after 3 weeks of brutal broadband speeds on a 3 mb Eircom package, all of a sudden, although inconsistently, I'm now recording the speeds below???

    Hi Babypink

I'm in the same boat as yourself - how did you get on? Any tips for me on how best to go about making this complaint and getting it resolved?

    Austin

I see your ISP is Skytel, shower of gangsters-nobody that has used them has a good word to say about them in Wexford.

If you are a Vodafone mobile customer you can get up to 8Mb fixed line broadband & phone for €38 a month,I average 6.2Mb wirelessly but get your line checked to see what you can get, they do it all for you and free connection.

If your not a Vodafone mobile customer it's €40 a month.

Generally they are not too bad, I had great speeds up until just over a week ago when it just went to hell. Doubt I've gotten more than 1Mb during peak times in the last week. Today it went for a couple hours, was unusable for most things for a good part of the day and still it struggling to hit 1.5ish.

My problem is that my line isnt suitable (eircom cant tell me why) and my house is in a mobile black spot. Had three and o2 dongles before and they were atrociously bad. I dont have too many options.

Been on to Vodafone since originally posting the above and bundled my line rental and off peak calls with them(saving a great amount on the way I had it before) and my line picked up in a couple of stages to a very respectable looking result below for my connection:

My upc broadband seems to be working fine now.

It turns out a server (that handles my area) was faulty.
