Ugh, my family is already demanding lists. I haven't thought about it.

Actually the only thing I can think of right now I'd like is the new Zelda game for my DS :)

I hate the thought of people I love getting stressed over what to buy me for Christmas :(

Oooh I'd like my driving license without the effort! And a TEFL course! Too much?

Probably too much all right, Santy can't beat the beaurocrats!! :P

There is actually nothing I need, I want to ask my parents to get me nothing, and just have my 21st. present and my Christmas present to be paying for me to go back to college in Dublin. But they won't go for that at all. :(

    what i want for christmas?

i want it to pass relatively quickly for those people that christmas is especially tough (homeless/familyless/people who've lost people at christmas etc.)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 745 ✭✭✭misswex

I really just want to spend time with my loved ones but sensing this is a more materialistic approach thread I would love to be surprised with tickets for a weekend away somewhere - preferabbly Paris or Rome as I've always wanted to go to those cities!!

I'm going home for Christmas, so that's my big gift. That aside, maybe just some money to help with my upcoming move to Florida. I'll have enough, but any little extra helps, considering I'll be unemployed for a while.

Ok honest answer this time. I always do a Santy List of things that I'd like and he chooses one or two things off it. This year I put one thing on it (a book of HR Giger prints) and it's nice and cheap cause he's a poor student.

I'd love to do away with the whole presents thing entirely but I know his family would still give me presents and I'd feel bad then.

That's a toughie! I just tend to have issues with bassists and get on great with guitarists.

Bassists welcome, if they bring shoes!

The only thing wrong with bassists is they are CONSTANTLY Tapping out some rythym. It's very annoying.

But yes, Guitar FTW, incidentally what I want from Santy is this, Though I am sure I won't be getting it!!! :(

Actually true of a lot of musicians. I'm having to constantly remind guys that I'm not a percussion instrument.

    Lots of books

Or if you've time Santy, and feel so inclined, maybe a boyfriend as well, I am sick of being the only one in my group without one at Christmas, sounds kinda pathetic I know but, my loved up friends really are insufferable!

This yoke (which is way more expensive than I thought, must revise my choice!) has posters of his stuff which you can pull out and frame.

I don't really know anything about Giger (I must look up this necronomicon you speak of!) but I remember a college housemate had a book of his stuff I was fascinated by.

    My Santa list:

    - A pair of Louboutin boots
    - Some mindblowing sex
    - A few books
    - Sh1tloads of time to actually read those books
    - Work to go easy on me for the month of December (HA!)
    - Loads of mince pies
    - Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
    - Flight tickets. I'll go anywhere
    - SNOW

Nah, but seriously, a nice family day with all the usual useless but pretty presents, chocolate, fights, walks on the prom, cheesy movies and big Christmas dinner

And maybe throw in the Louboutins

I thought of another thing I want... I want to be taken out on a lovely Christmas/birthday date by a lovely boy and made a fuss of. That would just make my year, I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 533 ✭✭✭Any key?

I want someone to sort my itunes out on my computer
New laptop + excellent at losing c.ds = big problem.

That would be the best present ever If someone collected loads of c.ds of theirs their mates, family members etc. and did It for me. I don't want to spend the time doing It myself......

True but I'm not a huge fan of recieving material things at Christmas. Now don't get me wrong I love material things but just at Christmas I find it hard not to think of those who are having a much roughertime than I. I can always save and earn my material things through hard work but there are people out there that can't.

On a totally non Christmas related note I had secretly bought a pair of these for an ex once. Just as I was going to give them to her she dumped me for someone else.

Them suckers were on eBay the next day. Only got back 50% of my money.

I can't think of any things I want but on Christmas day I want to be here at home with my amazing husband, imagining what we'll be doing on Christmas the following year with our little son. I want to snuggle up in front of the fire and watch a head to head of It's a Wonderful Life and The Muppets Christmas Carol (and cry in the exact same places as I always do). Have a fuss free Christmas dinner and toast our absent friends.
