    That's it onions should now be classified as a class A illegal substance.

    My only problem with onions was my eyes badly watering when I cut them; I learnt a great tip a few weeks ago.. anyone else not heard of it?

    Peel the onion, chop into quarters, as you would an apple.
    Stick it in the food processor (with the blade attachment in) for about 30 seconds, it'll come out finely chopped. It's great

    Or for those without a food processor just stick out your tongue while cutting the onion. The acid or whatever it is that causes your eyes to water is attracted to moisture. Your tongue should stop your eyes from watering for the most part.
    Works for me anyway....

    This I have to whole-heartedly disagree with.
    I never cook with them. Lots of garlic, vegetables and spices or herbs are more than enough!

    No offense, but you're a morally and factually wrong :p Onions are the reason why I cook/live. I defy you to tell me somthing that doesn't taste nicer with onions!

    onions suck camel dick... the main problem is that people who like them like them so much that they just go ahead and put them in the dish regardless of the fact they know onion-haters dont like them :( they say things like:

    -its just a little bit and;
    -you can hardly taste it.

    if it was for a vegetarian you wouldnt put ****in a sprinkling of meat in it, in the hope it would be too miniscule to warrant complaints.

    **** OFF

    Thats because vegetarians are morally opposed to the idea of slaughtering animals to eat them, not because they think it tastes nasty. I doubt anyone is morally opposed to onions...

    Fascinating! :D

    Is it due to the cruel conditions they are kept in? Or the despicable way they are ripped out of the ground? Or maybe how the are crushed into small bags for transport without a care in the world for their well-being? :eek:
