It's actually the second time I've tried to buy this. The last time I got scammed!

I was happy with the price alright! Usually the buy it nows are from Japan and they're around 115gbp for the lower end ones.

Plus, for once, as this is in Ireland I'll have it super fast! That's always a novelty :)

If you look back through this thread, I haven't bought anything for aaaaaaaaaaaaages. This is something akin to an alcoholic falling off the wagon. Right now I don't care though. I'm just going to writhe around on the ground in my alcoholic vomit until the hangover that is the credit card bill arrives!

One day Simba, all of this will be yours.

Dude I do that everyday without the credit card bill. Just nasty hangovers which go away by continually drinking! Vicious circles FTW!

Doesn't the X68000 have a weird native resolution? Might be a problem getting a monitor for it if that is the case, although I'm going on hearsay.

I ordered a few things on eBay over the weekend and these are the first two items to turn up.

    5860894162_7e9ddbb6ef_z.jpg

I got Sonic 3 as part of my plan to rebuild the collection I once had. It is in great condition.

I bought this copy of Shadow of the Colossus because of all the good things I've heard about it. I never actually owned it. I had slipped out of the gaming mode when it was first released. I got this copy because it is in great condition and it had the cool artwork.

I still have a couple of things to arrive in the post. One of which is something I'm very excited about.

My purchases from the last week:

    JimandCarnageandTekken2.jpg

The Mega Drive games came from adverts while the PS1 games came from charity shops. True they all look great but they harbor a dark secret... Jim, Carnage and Tekken 2 are sadly without manuals... which is ironic because I already have a copy of Crash Bandicoot 2 (box and disc only) and only purchased this second copy because it came with a manual.

I had heard that it was supposed to be worth few bob but not mega bucks, maybe someone else knows more about it but I'm happy to have it in the collection anyway :)
    On a somewhat related note I also picked up this on the same day;

I have a whole 15 euro to spend in Gamestop...
    Split Second?
    Blur?
    Loved the former...
    NFS: Hot Pursuit?
Found the cars a bit, well, floaty on the PS3, is it any better on the 360?
Or will I just buy some PS2 games instead? ;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

Go for some PS2 action! You could get even more bang for your Enda Kenny's patented 'recession free' milk tokens if you can find a compilation game, for example the Midway Arcade Treasures range or the Activision Collection.*

*assuming you don't own these already.

Get Blur. It is in my opinion one if the most fun racing games this generation. Highly underrated.

Played it, thought it was a cross between MSR and MarioKart, and not in a sexy way either, Split Second was more my thang...
    But NFS:HP was so nice....
