I seem to remember some MS fanboys taking great offence to this, poor backstards!

Their hearing had clearly already been destroyed by their consoles.

I picked up Panzer Dragoon Saga on Sunday. Must get some pics up. Is a really beautiful piece of kit.

Only problem is the cardboard case has a flip up lid on the top. It's almost impossible to open it without bending or messing up the cardboard! I can see why these are always mangled when they turn up on ebay.

Trying to contain my excitement while opening it was a exercise in frustration.

Don't listen to the naysayers, LoD is a decent game. IT IS!!!

Would heartily recommend Wild Arms, it's not overly expensive either. Was one of my favourite ps1 games.

Legend of Dragoon sucks pantz, and not in a sexy way!

Actually do listen to the naysayers. Legend of Dragoon is far and away the worst RPG I've ever had the misfortune to play.

So you were winding me up all along! You have questionable taste but LoD was too far, there was something fishy about it :P

It's not even so bad it's fun. It's so bland and mediocre and designed by commitee to get a piece of the FFVII pie that it's just a big pile of meh. It doesn't stand out as a good game and it can't standout as a bad game. The worst thing that the game does is that it relies on timing button presses to increase attack power but the battle system runs at around 12 FPS so there's lag and when you have to press the button to time it correctly is way off. It's probably even worse on an LCD tv. If you don't know the timing then the first battle of the game will get you killed and you'll hae to watch the 20 minute intro again. The battle system also drags random battles out to ridiculous lengths.

    Nice looking background art though.

The thing about the game boy, and even the game boy colour, is that it's so hard to find good fighting games for it. They're usually an unholy mess.
Exceptions are Street fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, Killer Instinct and Real bout fatal Fury.

I still can't get over the amazing job Rare did with KI on the game boy. Most of the characters, moves and backgrounds are still there and it's really playable. The music is great too.

Another good one is Street fighter Alpha for the game boy colour. It may not be much to look at but I can't see how Crawfish could have done a better job with this on such limited hardware. It was only since the GBA that we saw really good fighting games being consistantly ported to hand helds-that's if you don't count the Neo Geo pocket colour of course.

Well this is going to be overkill for one game, but I don't care - it deserves it :D

Oh no, the scary cardboard tab!

But it's worth opening, lots of goodness within!

Apart from a few bits of dust, the discs are all flawless. Looks like its never been played -

Thought I'd photograph my other new latest addition while I was at it :)

You just had to one up me with a boxed copy :(

What gorgeous packaging though, I'd rather that than some of the so called collectors editions around at the moment.

The PAL version is indeed lovely. For once we got the best of something! :)

It's like they knew it would never be released again and put as much effort into it as possible.

I'd love to get the two back covers blown up into posters.

Ah bugger. Serves me right for browsing ebay Ireland.

You see an Irish seller listing Radiant Silvergun (and yes Pyongyang, it has a spine card :D) with a buy it now...it's a sign. Just too weird to say no.

That's me tapped out for the month!

Even MORE hilarious now that my Saturn is packed away in an attic that I can't easily get to.
