    Not a rant! Just wondering really. I've noticed most "New Mini"
    drivers seem to be female in the mid-twenties and wear large sunglasses
    usually on-top of the head(style thing i guess:rolleyes:).
    See for yourselves, the next sporty mini that passes you by.
    Made a game out of it!:D

    And Opel Tigra's :)

    Yes, there is a stereotype for each car. Sometimes it doesn't fit, but in a lot of cases it will fit.

    It is fun to sit somewhere and to check for stereotypes. Best occupation, when you're stuck in traffic anyhow.

    There are people on here that will absoultely, categorically deny that the MINI is in any-way-shape-or-form a girls car!:D

    Stereotypes can work in reverse too though - you will see some very attractive girls driving something plain and simple like an Almera or Focus 'cos they don't give a toss and don't need to impress. Sometimes the MINI girls need the glamour halo that the MINI bestows;)...

    So you could almost say for theses "type of girls" the mini is
    hand bag!

    When I got my first car I went for cheapest one in the garage which was a honda civic 88. I had no clue about it. Then I noticed I got stopped a lot by the guards. Then realised a lot of young lads had the same car. I would love a new mini! I am female, 26 but never wear sunglasses :-P

    Since the start of the year I've had a 1997 Rover 400 diesel, a 1993 Prelude, a 1992 Merc 250 diesel and now have a 1997 Rover Tomcat (Coupe with T bar roof). I quite fancy a Range Rover (old one if you hadn't gathered) or a 200sx next. I have also had a Celica and a Rover 600 over the last couple of years.

    Like anything else gereralisations are just tad, I reckon Mini, TT, etc are all either ladies or poofs cars (along with modern beetles). Again that's a narrow minded gereralisation on my part.

    I think you are missing the point of this thread,its only a bit of light hearted fun.

    Everyone knows there are 2 types of Honda dirvers

    Skangers (civics integras etc)

    And

    People who can't afford BMW's and Audis ( Accord etc) :D

    Besides everyone knows that Hondas really only belong in tool hire shops!

    BMW X5 = penis ( driving it, that is )

    Audi = see above

    Volvo = Dog owner or dog enthusiast who likes nature walks ( complete with spotless green wellies beside Haynes manual in immaculate boot )

    Fiat Punto = General, but often those who feel that it is a Ferrari relative lmao

    People carrier ( any ) with blacked out windows = Women who are petrified of the dimensions and wear the blackest shades lest they be able to see through the tint

    Mini / Beetle ( male ) = watches the afternoon show and particularly the features on womens' issues

    Older Audi = unemployed, but pretends to be a professional photographer / web designer

    Tiida = blind

    No no .. it's never boring. You get real excited about the petrol bill of a Honda Accord or Rover 600 if you are a lead-foot, without the driving enjoyment.. it's gonna kill you or make you go bust :)

    Had to laugh at that one, as I used to own a Volvo C70 Convertible, had a dog at the time and actually drove the fecking thing often enough up dirt-tracks in the hills. Not for the sake of nature, but that's another story.

    To give you the picture:
    thumb_img_0043.jpg

    The gear is a 250W windmill and some wireless gear :)
    Tiida = blind

    Or crazy americans in a rental.
