What about MySpace - where does that figure?

I never liked it personally, but know people who use it to get their music uploaded and stuff. But in terms of social networking or whatever, I didn't buy into it - used Bebo way more back in the day. But haven't used that regularly in the last 2 years or so.

Then signed on facebook shortly after moving here because I quickly realised that lots of RL stuff gets organised through it and that it's a very convenient (and cheap) way to keep in touch! I like the way that you can register, take it or leave it for what it is, and no-one cares either way!

I know a guy who gave his Grandfather a crash course in computers and helped him set up a bebo page.

His Grandfather loved Bebo and used it at least once a week and sent his Grandson (guy I know) a message on it every now and then with a link to some story on the interwebs he found interesting.

This guy deleted his Bebo in favour of Facebook without thinking too hard about it. He was his Grandfathers only friend.

Tell me your heart hasn't broken!!

(His family wouldn't speak to him for a month.)

Bebo is shockingly annoying. I deleted mine around 6 months ago and it was full of kids and chav's so by the sounds of it it hasn't gotten any better. My first one deleted itself then I made a new one a few months later and there were "Loves" and everyone was going on about profile views? When I went to delete it it said something like "What? Are you sure you want to delete your account? Really? There must be something wrong with you. We don't know why you would want to do this, but OK...". Idiots.

Facebook is head and shoulders above Bebo. I joined because I was going away for the Summer and a lot of my family were on it so I thought it would be a handy way to keep in touch while I'm away but I'm always on it these days.

bebo is for kids and kiddy fiddlers. i can put up with all the farmville and mafia wars ****e as long i dont have to see chavs or txtspk.

i also have a rule of not adding people unless i know/met them in real life.

You can get rid of the farmville/mafia wars stuff from your feed really easily...Hover your mouse to the right of the feed, you'll see "hide" click it, and it gives you the option to hide feeds from that application or that user or both.

I can't understand why people feel they should 'Delete' something if they don't use it anymore.
It's not costing you anything to just leave it there. FFS like!

I think ill leave it there like a time capsule

I deleted my bebo about 3 months ago for facebook.
Do love facebook: my farm and some of the games. Shanghai dynasty is excellent. Although the deer hunting game is wrong though :-)

I used bebo up until about 3-4 months ago... Deleted it because I was sick of it.

    Never used Facebook at all.

I hate all these social networking sites, bloody awful things. I've already got friends I want to ditch in real life; like I need to be trying to ditch online friends!!!:p
    yet you like boards....

Thanks for that. Farmtown, Farmville, Mafia Wars, Horoscopes are now a thing of the past.

Its different on Facebook to be fair. Everyone has their own profile page and that is the focus of the site rather than here where people have a profile but the main idea ts to discuss completely random crap.

    The focus is different.

Bebo's full of 12 year olds now. Hu talk lyk dis.

Facebook's much more grown-up. Even if it does have Pirate Talk as one of the languages.

I don't use Bebo that much at all, it's a little too pink for me.

I'm not too keen on Facebook's layout though

Anyway, I don't use social networking sites that much.

The only blog I tend to use ATM is my journal on Deviant Art

However it is funny seeing a random skangers page:
"how yiz im fukn hard like smkin ganj an cruisin in da car listenin ta choons"

Found an Iranian skanger's page, she's just as irritating in real life

Never had a Bebo page. If I put my real date of birth on the form, the guards would be calling 'round to my house.

I...I...should have known better than to open that link but I did anyway :( I've a splitting headache now and my eyes bled a little trying to read that nonsense...

Back on topic, Facebook all the way. Have friends dotted around the world travelling/working so I find it great for keeping in touch. All bebo seems to be is annoying kids and constant "Check out my cam page" spam.

Is that a tear drop tattoo!? That fool would get killed in prison turning up with that.

I'm nearly tempted to set up another bebo page so I can wander around the site laughing at people like this!
