Yeah but he does an awful lotta work for charidy mate, and he doesn't like to talk about it.

Damien Sandow never mentions his charity work.

Lance Storm donated to ALS charity privately.

Just because guys don't shout from the rooftops about the good work they do, doesn't mean they don't enjoy doing it.

    Crazy comment.

The similarities between Cena and Smashy and Nicey's private charity work are quite clear.

Cena is in 37, time to be going part time and looking for things like movie roles. No need to change much now either.

If you put yourself in the public eye like Cena has, all aspects of your life will be open to discussion. Whether that's right or not is another thing but it's what they signed up for. If his real life persona is at odds with the way he markets himself people are bound to talk about it. Jim Ross gets a lot of criticism for being an asskisser but Cena (he's praised for it) is much much worse imo.

Who wouldn't for 10 million a year though?

WWE's biggest babyface/heel all rolled into one. He's great for getting up and coming guys over before WWE ruins them again..

To be honest you don't get to be a Cena, Hogan Austin, Rock, HHH etc etc without being a bit of a bastard and having a great business brain and stepping on peoples heads to get to the top.

It is done in every business to get to the top you need to be ruthless if you want to earn the money that goes with it.

Plenty of people's marriages don't work out for one reason or another and I'd say a wrestlers chances of a happy marriage is harder than most with them being away for more than half the year.

None of that mean's you are a bad person.

I like Cena so what if he is a yes man, he is living his dream and making millions from it.

He does his best to get other wrestlers over more than the Hogan's, Nash's, Micheal's, HHH's etc etc ever did.

Fair play to Cena and Sheamus and ever other WWE Superstar & Diva that gives their time to charity while working for the WWE.

I don't think those kids that have huges smiles on their faces after meeting their hero give two fcuks what any of us so call smart( cynical fcukers) fans think.

To be fair, Cena has put his 'private life' out there for public consumption, presented it as reality and makes money from that...so it's fair for anyone who devotes time to it to form an opinion on that image of John Cena.

The reality is, though, that nobody knows anything about what any of the WWE wrestlers - or famous people in general - are like unless they know them personally. You're judging a projection that is being marketed for consumption. I've dealt with universally beloved 'nice guys' in wrestling who've been absolute dicks in real life, and others who had a bad rep who I've come to realise were just misunderstood. Then there's nice people being pushed in different directions by various demands, some of which you may be privy to and others notsomuch. They're all just regular people at the end of the day. I'd never judge someone by how much charity work they do (it's great PR after all), nor would I if I heard they cheated on a spouse.

Too often, people judge famous people based on tiny interactions they've had with them (e.g. signing an autograph) where a dickhead could easily be putting a false face on because they've received good PR training, or a nice guy comes across badly because he's just had a serious row with his missus over the phone moments beforehand. I know people years and still have difficulty gauging whether they're a nice guy or arsehole, wrestlers and famous people are the exact same.

Cute story about John Cena being Mr. Nice Guy to Brodus.

Rhona Rousey and her MMA jobber mates the Four Horsemen sat front row at the PWG show last night. Rousey chopped one of the Wrestlers Biff Busick

I think it's really cool how many celebrities attend PWG shows. I remember hearing of Gillian Jacobs and Chris Bauer at shows before, as well as the cast of True Blood who I saw at Eleven.

Rhona Rousey vs. Chuck Taylor (dressed as a woman) sounds like a missed opportunity.

Following up on the fan who passed away last week Stewart Allen. They left his traditional front row seat at SHIMMER this weekend unaccompanied:

Cena's private life is no ones business but his and he shouldn't be judged for it.

I don't agree with that at all. I've no major issue with Cena the person but their are plenty of people whose artistic output I've neglected to spend money on based on their personal history. Where do you draw the line like? Austin, for example, beating up his missus makes me very reluctant to get behind anything the guy does. Is that his private life and nobody's business? I don't feel at all inappropriate for judging a grown man for physically abusing somebody so much smaller and weaker than themselves. It's the act of a scumbag and I am perfectly entitled to make that judgement call, just as you are perfectly entitled to disagree.

One thing I will say for Cena is that he gets a raw deal with the asskisser label. With the Undertaker the average fan calls the same thing being a company man and reveres the guy for it.

Can't see anything now? What is it?

So like 90% of divas roster is on Total Divas now? :pac:

I would of preferred Emma instead of Paige to be on the show.

    Yes Alicia Fox!

    What? :pac:

A while back it was reported that anyone on Total Divas isn't even in consideration for a title reign. What is Paige thinking in agreeing to be a part of it?

I can see it now, Layla pins AJ for the title only for Emma to have stolen Rollins's MITB briefcase and cashing in

    1. I don't think Paige would have had much choice in the matter tbh.

    2. Appearing in the show is probably a bigger deal than holding the title for 30 seconds...

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,961 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

If it gets Emma back, then I'm all for it.

Of course if those 3 were to star in the adult oriented spinoff of Total Divas, I'd also be for that.

I doubt she has a choice but she is a smart girl and will make her money while she can cause she knows it's a limited life span as a diva ,and she has such a great wrestleing brain and an impetus to learn tv production that's she's proably looking sown the line

    Paige offer this cryptic hashtag:
    https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/524283366997106689

Two of her biggest fans/friends were tweeting around the fact that title rule is no more just before Paige tweeted that.

The deal with the rule was that Vince didn't want a Diva holding the title on Total Divas - taped months ago on a Sunday. The for another Diva to come out wearing the title live on Raw the next day. Known stickler for continuity auld Vince. :p

Just have Total Divas go live. I don't see what could go wrong.
