O Connell Street bridge is the only one in Europe that is as wide as it long.

    Fact.

Phoenix Park is the largest inner-city park in the world, I believe that one

The largest in the world is Fairmount Park in Philadelphia i think. It's something like 4 times bigger than the Phoenix park.

He sure was. It was also the first film in Europe to have a book based on it rather than the other way around.

    Just remembered a few more:

Port tunnel the longest tunnel in Europe :D

the giant knitting needle on O Connel street, the largest free standing sculpture in Europe :D

I believe the spire one although it's not the biggest free standing structure in Ireland, the cement factory near Kinnegad is. Probably the tallest free standing sculpture though.

The port tunnel, I believe, was the biggest underground drilling operation since the tube in London.

I can't fathom how it could have been a larger operation than the Channel Tunnel.
