Hi Xcellor - sorry, I know I said in a post last weekend that the Aggregation node in Mullingar would be upgraded this week. I was told today that eircom had some technical issues and it is delayed until possibly Monday or Tuesday. But I am assured that it's definitely on the cards.

Hi Xcellor - I was told that upgrade on the Mullingar BRAS that I mentioned above has happened now. It would be good to know if your ping times have improved in the last couple of days.

Pings were better last night alright but it has been known to have the odd day once every few weeks where the ping returns to normal. Download speed was really bad though, lucky to get 1mb .

UPDATE for the Newport exchange it still sucks slow speeds packet loss of 20-30% almost unusable at times even for browsing never mind what eircom advertise.
